A device for the thermal treatment of yarns comprising at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening for at least one transport means, which transports the yarn through the device, and comprising separating elements at the inlet opening and the outlet opening for thermal shielding, in order to minimise the exchange of media to the environment. The separating elements are configured to have a low bending rigidity and are arranged such that a surface load is applied onto the yarn lying on the transport means, for example a conveyor belt, which is not greater than 0.005 kg*cm.

Device for the thermal treatment of yarns

A yarn brake for a two-for-one twisting spindle has a brake element mounted in the region of a hollow axle of the spindle between an upper and a lower brake face, the braking force being predeterminable in a defined manner by means of the pretensioning of at least one spring element, which acts on an axially displaceably mounted upper piston, in which the upper brake face is integrated, and the yarn brake being pneumatically releasable to introduce a yarn. The upper piston () receiving the upper brake face () is configured in such a way and guided with play (S) within a housing () of the yarn brake () in such a way that it can move aside if necessary into a position (I), in which its center longitudinal axis () forms an angle (&#x3b1;) with the center longitudinal axis () of the housing ().

Yarn brake for a two-for-one twisting spindle

Wind-on device for workstations of two-for-one twisters and ply twisters with a take-up bobbin, a drive shaft extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine, a friction roller which is driven by the drive shaft and causes the take-up bobbin to make a rotational movement, and a driven advance roller positioned upstream of the friction roller in the yarn run. According to the invention, in addition to the friction roller (), the advance roller () is also driven by the drive shaft () and in that the advance roller () is mounted on a support element () and can be pivoted together with the support element () about a pivot axle selectively into an operating position or into a higher situated service position.

Wind-on device for workstations of two-for-one twisters and ply twisters

A warp formed of a multiplicity of parallel filaments is wound on a warp beam by an apparatus having a supply of the warp, a transport roller, and an adjustment roller adjacent the transport roller and movable between a holding position engaging the transport roller and a winding position spaced therefrom. The warp extends from the supply along a path around the transport roller, hen around the adjustment roller, and then around the warp beam. The beam and transport roller are rotated to displace the warp along the path and wind it up on the beam while maintaining the adjustment roller in the winding position. Tension is detected in the warp at least during winding of the warp on the beam and the adjustment roller is displaced during winding of the warp on the beam in a predetermined first direction transverse to the path to increase and decrease the tension to maintain the tension within a predetermined range when the adjustment roller is not in the holding position. The beam and transport roller are arrested to stop winding of the warp and the adjustment roller is pressed in a second direction transverse to the first direction against the transport roller into the holding position to stabilize the stopped warp.

Warp reeling system

A warp beamer having a frame supported on the floor and a horizontal warp beam rotatable on the frame has a step assembly provided with a step displaceable between a lower position supported directly on the floor and an upper position spaced well above the floor and of the warp beam. A motor connected between the step and the frame displaces the step between its positions. The step rides on a vertical guide on the frame and a lever assembly pivots the step between a horizontal position in the lower position and a generally vertical position in the upper position.
