The invention relates to a device for receiving a workpiece in a bearing device for rotatably mounting the workpiece about a bearing axis (L) associated with a workpiece bearing surface. The device comprises a bearing pedestal () including a bearing element () which has two concavely cylindrical bearing surfaces () that lie next to one another in the same bearing plane and symmetrically to a plane of symmetry containing the bearing axis (L), the cylinder radii of the cylindrical bearing surfaces being greater than the radius of the workpiece bearing surface for which the bearing device is intended, wherein the cylinder axes of the two bearing surfaces () are parallel to the bearing axis (L) and have a distance between each other.

The invention relates to a device for receiving workpieces to be balanced in a machine for performing an unbalance compensation having a bearing device () arranged on a machine frame for rotatable mounting of the workpiece () around a bearing axis (L), wherein the bearing device () has at least one bearing block () having two bearing shells () differing in diameter and lying adjacent to each other in a direction transverse to the bearing axis (L). The bearing block () is movable transversely to the bearing axis (L) of the bearing device () into two bearing positions and another one of the two bearing shells () is aligned centrally to the bearing axis (L) in each of the two bearing positions.

Device for rotatable mounting of work pieces, in particular crankshafts

A method is disclosed for the automatic detection and identification of errors in a balancing machine during operation, in which a rotor provided with an unbalance is rotatably mounted in a vibratory bearing in the balancing machine and is set in rotation by a drive, the rotational frequency of the rotating rotor and the vibrations stimulated by the rotor are measured and measurement signals which comprise the measured values of the rotational frequency and the vibrations are generated and delivered to an evaluation computer. The evaluation calculation is based on mathematical models of the dynamic properties of the balancing machine which describe stimulations of the machine structure due to the unbalance, in particular in the balancing planes, and/or due to the rotor geometry and/or due to the bearing and/or possible damage to the bearing. Features such as vibration characteristics and/or process parameters are calculated by a signal-model-based method from the measurement signals, and discrepancies are established by comparing the calculated features with predetermined normal features of an error-free process.

Method for the automatic detection and identification of errors in a balancing machine

Modem rotary machine production requires built-in fault detection and diagnoses. The occurrence of faults, e.g. increased friction or loose bonds has to be detected as early as possible. Theses faults generate a nonlinear behavior. Therefore, a method for fault detection and diagnosis of a rotary machine is presented. Based on a rotor system model for the faulty and un-faulty case, subspace-based identification methods are used to compute singular values that are used as features for fault detection. The method is tested on an industrial rotor balancing machine.
