The present invention relates to a washing apparatus for washing of cellulose pulp comprising: a rotatable drum (), a stationary support (), a stationary cylindrical casing (), that encloses the drum, whereby an annular space () is defined between the casing and the drum, a number of seals () that are arranged on the casing and that seals between the casing and the drum, such that the annular space is divided in a formation zone (F), at least one washing zone (T, T), and a discharge zone (U), and at least a reinforcing frame rib (), that is attached to the casing. At least two of the longitudinal seals are arranged such that, when the drum rotates, they meet compartment walls at shifted points in time with respect to each other. Apparatus for creating a seal between an axle journal and a bearing housing is disclosed, particularly for use in apparatus for dewatering or washing material suspensions. The apparatus includes a stator ring, a pair of diagonally disposed guide pins supporting the stator ring with respect to the bearing housing so that the stator ring can be angled in a plane with respect to the pair of guide pins, a sealing ring for creating a seal between the stator ring and the axle journal, a bellows for creating a seal between the bearing housing and the stator ring, and at least one resilient member for urging the stator ring in abutment against the sealing ring.

Arrangement and Method for Treatment of Cellulose Pulp Involving Means for Seal Adjustment

Methods for achieving even transverse distribution and propagation of a flowing medium are disclosed in which the flowing medium is supplied through a conduit and is deflected during diverging propagation in at least one distribution gap. The method includes deflecting the flowing medium during diverging propagation along the distribution gap in which the medium is conveyed through a passage to an outlet gap having a larger depth than the depth of the distribution gap. The medium is conveyed over an edge of the passage extending transverse to the direction of the flow, and the edge is designed to obtain a propagation along the flowing path of the diverging medium that provides a substantially even and parallel flow of the medium along the outlet gap. Apparatus for achieving this method is also disclosed.
