An airbag device and a method for controlling deployment of the same are proposed. The airbag device is configured to protect a passenger by controlling an airbag cushion deployed toward the rear space of a seatback in an event of a vehicle collision, and the airbag device includes an airbag cushion deploying toward the rear space of the seatback, a sensor part detecting a seating status and a seating posture of a passenger with respect to each seat, and a controller, in an event of a collision, configured to change and control a deploying status of the airbag cushion and an inflation amount of the airbag cushion in response to the seating status and the seating posture of the passenger.

Airbag device and method for controlling deployment

An airbag device includes a first chamber configured to be deployed in a shape that surrounds a first side and a front side of a seat, a second chamber configured to be deployed in a shape that surrounds a second side and the front side of the seat and fastened to the first chamber at a first portion at which the second chamber overlaps the first chamber, and side tethers connected to one of or both of a second portion between the first chamber of an airbag module embedded at first side of a seatback and a third portion between the second chamber of an airbag module embedded at the second side of the seatback.

The external airbag device includes: a housing located in a bumper and securely coupled to a vehicle; and an airbag cushion disposed inside the housing in a folded state, and configured to be deployed outwardly from the housing and the bumper when gas is injected thereinto, wherein the airbag cushion is configured to be deployed to be inclined while a contact surface thereof brought into contact with an external obstacle colliding with the vehicle is deployed.

External airbag device

A side air bag apparatus for a vehicle. The side air bag apparatus includes: a first cushion configured to cover and protect an upper body area of a passenger who has adopted a relax mode while tilting rearward a seatback; a second cushion configured to cover and protect a head area; and a valve member configured to open and close a vent hole connecting the first cushion to the second cushion. Accordingly, both the upper body area and the head area of the passenger in the relax mode are efficiently and sufficiently protected.

Seat airbag

A headrest airbag of a vehicle is proposed. The headrest airbag includes an inflator located inside a seatback, and connected to a headrest stay and configured to supply gas through the headrest stay during operation thereof, and an airbag cushion located inside the headrest, and configured to expand when being supplied with the gas through the headrest stay and to be unfolded outside of the headrest.

A side airbag device may include: an inflator mounted to a seat frame; a cushion covering the inflator and configured to be deployed by gas discharged from the inflator to protect a side portion of an passenger; and a tether mounted to the inflator and configured to enclose the cushion and reduce collision energy applied to the passenger.

A side airbag device may include: an inflator mounted to a seat frame; a cushion unit covering the inflator and configured to be deployed by gas discharged from the inflator to protect a side portion of an occupant; and a tether unit mounted to the inflator and configured to enclose the cushion unit. The cushion unit may include: a cushion deployment part mounted to the inflator and configured to be deployed by gas discharged from the inflator; a cushion passing part formed in the cushion deployment part so that the tether unit passes through the cushion passing part; and a cushion penetration part formed in an upper end of the cushion deployment part so that the tether unit penetrates the cushion penetration part.

A roof airbag apparatus may include: a cushion having an inlet through which gas discharged from an inflator is introduced; a plurality of tethers connected to the cushion, and arranged along the edge of the cushion so as to be separated from each other; a plurality of steel tabs each having a connection hole formed therein; and a tether guide installed in a pillar shape through the connection holes, and supporting the cushion. The tethers may be connected to the cushion through the respective connection holes.

Roof airbag apparatus

A center airbag apparatus may include: an inflator mounted in an instrument panel and configured to inject gas; a first cushion part deployed by the gas injected from the inflator, and configured to support a driver airbag; and a second cushion part connected to the first cushion part, and configured to be deployed between the driver airbag and a passenger airbag to protrude toward the rear of a vehicle based on the driver airbag.

Center airbag apparatus

A curtain airbag apparatus for a car includes: a cushion part installed in a car body, and configured to be deployed between the car body and a passenger by a gas supplied through an inflator; a tether part formed between the cushion part and the car body, and formed to have both sides connected to the cushion part so as to guide a deployment shape of the cushion part; and a bending guide part configured to form a groove at a side surface of the cushion part such that gas is not supplied to the groove, and configured to guide the cushion part to have a concave shape toward the car body.

Curtain airbag apparatus for car

An airbag device for a car may include an inflator positioned between first and second seats and generating an operating gas, a chamber part receiving the operating gas generated by the inflator and expanding between the first and second seats, a tether part connected to the chamber part to control a deployment shape of the chamber part, and a locking release part connected to the tether part at an inner surface or side surface of the chamber part which removes the connection to the tether part according to a control signal.

A center airbag device may include: an inflator positioned between first and second seats, and generating an operating gas; a chamber part receiving the operating gas generated by the inflator, and expanding between the first and second seats; an internal tether part positioned in the chamber part, and connected to one or more of the top and side surfaces of the chamber part so as to control the deployment shape of the chamber part; and a locking release part connected to the internal tether part, and removing a restriction of the internal tether part according to a control signal.
