A device can receive an indication to perform a test of a capability of the device to receive data. The data can have a threshold data rate. The device can perform an action to cause the device to receive the data from a source of the data at the threshold data rate. The device can monitor a set of metrics related to the data or a performance of the device. The device can perform an analysis of the set of metrics after monitoring the set of metrics. The device can identify a source of an error based on a result of performing the analysis of the set of metrics. The source of the error can be related to the data or the performance of the device. The device can perform another action related to fixing the source of the error.

Automatic device testing

A tester device may establish a connection to customer devices using protocols, such as a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) protocol or an Open Mobile Alliance device management (OMA DM) protocol. The tester device may receive information related to wireless communications or operations of the customer devices and the information may be determined by the customer devices. The tester device may perform an analysis of the information. The tester device may provide instructions to the customer devices to cause the customer devices to use a channel to communicate. The tester device may perform a throughput test of the customer devices. The tester device may receive additional information based on performing the throughput test. The tester device may perform a comparison of the information and the additional information. The tester device may provide other instructions to the customer devices to cause the customer devices to use the channel.

Performing an analysis of information to identify a source of an error related to a device

A computer device may include logic configured to obtain vehicle telematics data relating to a vehicle operated by a user and to obtain device telematics data relating to a user device operated by the user. The logic may be further configured to determine that a distance between the user device and the vehicle is greater than a first distance threshold, based on the obtained vehicle telematics data and based on the obtained device telematics data; and send an alert to a mobile communication device associated with the user, in response to determining that the distance between the user device and the vehicle is greater than the first distance threshold.
