A scenario simulation system for a multimedia device is disclosed. An outline detection device separates a plurality of images from an image source to a plurality of foreground and background images which are stored in a foreground storage medium and a background storage medium respectively. A foreground selector selects a foreground image, and a background selector selects a background image. An image mixer mixes the foreground image with the background image as an output image. An image output module transmits the output image for replacing a real image to a remote multimedia device.

Scenario simulation system and method for a multimedia device

A deinterlacing method for a digital motion picture is provided. The method includes determining if a predicted pixel lies in an artificial horizontal line or not according to the relationship among a first pixel value, a second pixel value, a first threshold value and a second threshold value; and estimating the predicted pixel value in a still image manner if the predicted pixel is determined to lie in an artificial horizontal line. The present invention also includes an apparatus implementing the deinterlacing method.

A method and device of automatic detection and modification of subtitle position comprises the steps of comparing an active display area parameter of a displaying device to an original subtitle control signal to generate a comparison result, and outputting a targeted subtitle control signal to modify the position of the subtitle depends on the comparison result so that the subtitle is guaranteed to display in the active display area. The steps of the method includes recording each status of a plurality of data blocks of compressed macroblocks indicated by a first pointer to a first pointer storage area and each status of a plurality of data blocks of compressed inter-macroblocks indicated by a second pointer to a second pointer storage area; decoding the data blocks of compressed macroblocks according to the first pointer storage area and the data blocks of compressed inter-macroblocks according to the second pointer storage area; and outputting the decoded data blocks to an inverse quantization unit and an inverse discrete cosine transform unit.
