An electronic device may include a display having display pixels formed in an active area of the display. The display further includes display driver circuitry for driving gate lines that are routed across the display. A hole such as a through hole, optical window, or other inactive region may be formed within the active area of the display. Multiple gate lines carrying the same signal may be merged together prior to being routed around the hole to help minimize the routing line congestion around the border of the hole. Dummy circuits may be coupled to the merged segment portion to help increase the parasitic loading on the merged segments. The hole may have a tapered shape to help maximize the size of the active area. The hole may have an asymmetric shape to accommodate multiple sub-display sensor components.

An electronic device may include a display with pixels formed using light-emitting diodes, thin-film silicon transistors, thin-film semiconducting-oxide transistors, and capacitors. The silicon transistors, semiconducting-transistors, and capacitors may have control terminals that are coupled to gate or routing lines that extend across the face of the display and that are formed in a low resistance source-drain metal routing layer. Forming routing/gate lines using the low resistance source-drain metal routing layer dramatically reduces the resistance of the gate lines, which enables better timing margins for large display panels operating at higher refresh rates.

An electronic device may include a display having an array of display pixels on a substrate. The display pixels may be organic light-emitting diode display pixels, that include hybrid thin-film transistor structures formed using semiconducting-oxide thin-film transistors, silicon thin-film transistors, and capacitor structures. A drive transistor in the display pixel may be a top-gate semiconducting-oxide thin-film transistor and a switching transistor in the display pixel may be a top-gate silicon thin-film transistor. A storage capacitor in the display may include a conductive semiconducting-oxide electrode.

Display panels with hydrogen trap layers are described. The hydrogen trap layers may be incorporated into a variety of locations to getter or block hydrogen diffusion into the semiconductor oxide layer of an oxide transistor.

An organic light-emitting diode display may have thin-film transistor circuitry formed on a substrate. The display and substrate may have rounded corners. A pixel definition layer may be formed on the thin-film transistor circuitry. Openings in the pixel definition layer may be provided with emissive material overlapping respective anodes for organic light-emitting diodes. A cathode layer may cover the array of pixels. A ground power supply path may be used to distribute a ground voltage to the cathode layer. The ground power supply path may be formed from a metal layer that is shorted to the cathode layer using portions of a metal layer that forms anodes, may be formed from a mesh shaped metal pattern, may have L-shaped path segments, and may include laser-deposited metal on the cathode layer. Data lines may be formed from metal layers in the active area to accommodate the rounded corners of the display.

Power and data routing structures for organic light-emitting diode displays

An electronic device includes an electronic display having an active area comprising a pixel. The electronic device also includes processing circuitry configured to receive image data and predict a change in threshold voltage associated with a transistor of the pixel based at least in part on the image data. Furthermore, the processing circuitry is configured to adjust the image data to generate adjusted image data based at least in part on the predicted change in threshold voltage.

A three-dimensional display device includes a display panel and a barrier structure. The barrier structure is located at one side of the display panel. Besides, the barrier structure includes a plurality of barrier patterns and a plurality of transparent slits. The barrier patterns and the transparent slits are arranged alternately. In particular, the barrier patterns include a photoelectric conversion structure.

Three-dimensional display device

A power tracking device and a power tracking method is disclosed herein. The power tracking device includes a power voltage setting circuit, a switch, a switching signal circuit, and a voltage memory circuit. The switching signal circuit is configured for sending a first control signal to the switch. When the switch receives the first control signal and electrically isolates the power source and the power voltage setting circuit, the voltage memory circuit stores an open circuit voltage of the power source and sends a setting voltage relative to the open circuit voltage, and when the switch receives the first control signal and electrically connects the power source and the power voltage setting circuit, the power voltage setting circuit sets an output voltage of the power source to correspond with the setting voltage.

Power tracking device and power tracking method

A display includes a backlight source, display panel, first light source, and controller. The display panel includes a sensor array for sensing first reflection light generated from an object reflecting first detection light. The first detection light is generated by the backlight source for locating a coordinate of a projection point of the object on the display panel. The first light source is disposed in a first side of the display panel, for repeatedly transmitting second detection light of different transmitting angles to the object at different time to generate a second reflection light. The second reflection light is sensed by the sensor array. The controller is for performing a corresponding operation according to a transmitting angle of the first light source and the coordinate of the projection point when brightness value of the reflective light is substantially greater than a predict value.

Display and method of determining a position of an object applied to a three-dimensional interactive display

A touch display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a plurality of sub-pixel regions, a plurality of display devices, a plurality of first optical touch sensor device and second optical touch sensor devices. The first substrate and the second substrate are disposed oppositely. The display devices are disposed in the sub-pixel regions, respectively, to provide images for a first display surface and a second display surface. The first optical touch sensor devices are disposed on the first substrate and at least corresponding to part of the sub-pixel regions for implementing touch input function on the first display surface. The second optical touch sensor devices are disposed on the first substrate and at least corresponding to part of the sub-pixel regions for implementing touch input function on the second display surface.

A touch panel and fabricating method thereof are provided. The patterned transparent conductive layer, disposed on the substrate, includes first electrodes. The photo-sensing layers are disposed on the first electrodes. The first patterned conductive layer includes gate electrodes, scan lines and second electrodes. The gate electrodes and the scan lines are disposed on the substrate. The second electrodes are disposed on the photo-sensing layers. The first electrodes, the photo-sensing layers and the second electrodes constitute photo-sensors. The back plate has an inner surface and an open is formed on the back plate. The back plate has an inner edge around the open. The photoelectric converting module is disposed on the supporting part without protruding out of the inner surface. The photoelectric converting module has a light-receiving surface exposed to the open. The display module has a display surface back to the photoelectric converting module.
