A latch is disposed turnably on a side door and becomes in a state of engaging with a striker disposed on a vehicle body. A ratchet engages with the latch by an engaging operation, and releases the engaging state by a disengaging operation. An open lever performs a door opening operation by the opening operation of an operating handle. A lever member is in contact with the latch in the engaging state, and excessively oscillates the latch in the direction of a closing operation, by which the engaging state between the latch and the ratchet is released during the time from the opening operation of the operating handle to the disengaging operation of the ratchet.

Latch device

A door latch system of a motor vehicle comprises a latch unit mounted to the vehicle body. The latch unit has a latch condition to latch the door at a closed position and an unlatch condition to unlatch the door thereby to release the door. The system further comprises a power latch canceling mechanism mounted to the vehicle body. The power latch canceling mechanism includes an actuator that, when energized, enforcedly causes the latch unit to assume the unlatch condition. The system further comprises a manual latch canceling mechanism mounted to the vehicle body. The manual latch canceling mechanism includes a handle member that is placed at a position other than a vehicle cabin of the vehicle and a power transmitting member that transmits a movement of the handle member to the latch unit. The manual latch canceling mechanism causes the latch unit to assume the unlatch condition when the handle member is manipulated.

Automotive door latch system

A latch mechanism holds a door body in a half-closed state or a fully-closed state with respect to a vehicle body. An open lever connected to an operating handle on the door body releases the half-closed state or the fully-closed state. A release assisting unit triggered by the opening operation of the operating handle assists the release of the half-closed state or the fully-closed state of the door body. A charging device charges a portion of a driving current supplied to a driving source of a lock mechanism between the operating handle and the latch mechanism, and supplies a charged driving current to the release assisting unit.

A vehicular electrical disengaging door latch apparatus includes: a striker provided in one of a vehicle main body and a door of a vehicle; a door latch module provided in one of the door and the vehicle main body so as to freely engage with and disengage from; a latch disengaging module capable of electrically disengaging the door latch module; a control module capable of controlling the latch disengaging module; and a door-open operating module capable of mechanically disengaging the door latch module by another transmitting module other than the latch disengaging module, especially, the door-open operating module is located at one of a lower side of a seat cushion of an occupant seat and a floor member opposing to the occupant seat.

An anti-panic mechanism comprises a lock lever displaceable between an unlocked position and a locked position, an over center spring urging the lock lever to either side of the unlocked position and locked position with a dead point, an open link displaceable between an engaging position and a non-engaging position, an output member displacing the lock lever by a motor, an anti-panic spring urging the open link toward the engaging position from the non-engaging position, a connecting lever connecting the open link to the lock lever. Vehicle door latch device with block type anti-theft mechanism

An actuator unit for shifting a lock lever of a vehicle door lock device between a locked position and an unlocked position comprises a housing having a reversible motor, an inside lever disposed inside the housing and being shiftable by the motor, and a key lever disposed inside the housing. The inside lever has a first shaft whose outer end extends through the housing and is connected to the lock lever. The key lever has a second shaft whose outer end extends through the housing and is connected to a door key cylinder. The first and second shafts being coaxial with each other but protruding in opposite directions. The inside lever has a third shaft coaxial with the first shaft and the key lever has a hole for supporting the third shaft. The actuator unit has first detecting means provided inside the housing for detecting a position of the inside lever, and second detecting means provided inside the housing for detecting a position of the key lever.

An anti-theft mechanism for a vehicle door lock device comprises a latch mechanism having a latch engaging with a striker, an opening means for releasing the engagement of the latch and the striker, and a lock lever connected to a key cylinder of a door and changed between a locked position and an unlocked position, and a relay mechanism having a sill knob lever connected to a sill knob of the door, an anti-theft member arranged to be changed between an anti-theft cancelled position and an anti-theft position, and an actuator for anti-theft operation for changing the anti-theft member. The sill knob lever is arranged to be pushed by the anti-theft member to return to the locked position, if the anti-theft member switches from the anti-theft position to the cancelled position when the sill knob lever is in the unlocked position.

A door locking device with an antitheft mechanism comprises a main lock lever linked to a key cylinder and changed over from an unlock position to an antitheft position through a lock position, a sub lock lever linked to an inside lock button of the door and changed over to an unlock position and a lock position, and a linkage member having sufficient elasticity to connect the lock levers with each other between the lock position and unlock position.
