An object of the present invention is to realize a pressure sensor with a small variation in sensor characteristics. The pressure sensor includes a diaphragm having longitudinal and lateral sides, and four strain gauges disposed on the diaphragm. The four strain gauges are arranged at a center of the diaphragm. A projection type display apparatus in which an inclination and a positional deviation of optical axes among a plurality of light sources can be easily corrected to obtain a high quality projection image. Green, blue and red laser beams emitted from light sources are converted into collimated beams by condenser lenses, and the positions and angles of the optical axes of the beams of the three colors are evaluated by position detection imaging device and angle detection imaging device, respectively. The positions and angles of the light sources are adjusted by respective actuators so that the positions and angles of the optical axes match each other. Consequently, the laser beams emitted from the light sources can be combined with high accuracy to thereby realize a high definition projection type display apparatus.

A pickup and a drive, in a small size, having a spherical aberration correction device capable of correcting various spherical aberration, and coma aberration and/or astigmatism with a low power consumption. A variable-focus lens actuator can correct spherical aberration such that a transparent deformation film warps into a parabolic shape when a magnetic field is applied thereto, thereby changing the light intensity distribution of transmitted light. Further, the variable-focus lens actuator can correct coma aberration and/or astigmatism by arbitrarily tilting the transparent film to change the proceeding direction of the transmitted light.

A metal pin is inserted into a hole cylindrically formed in a camera casing so as to be in contact with a shape-memory actuator. The metal pin and the shape-memory actuator are fixed by pressurization. The metal pin is further bonded to a printed circuit board via a solder to electrically and thermally contact the shape-memory actuator and the printed circuit board so as to form the camera module by reducing the wiring size and improving the cooling efficiency.

An interference type optical head and an optical disk device that can easily adjust an optical path length difference of a couple of lights, ensure higher signal amplification effect, and are suitable for reduction in size are provided in order to improve a regeneration signal quality with amplification of signal in the case where reflectivity of each layer must be lowered and relative noise for the signal increases because read speed is high in a multilayer optical disk. In view of essentially improving an S/N ratio of the regeneration signal in high-speed rotation of a multilayer disk, a plurality of interference phases are generated and an optical system for differential calculation has been reduced in size with an angular selective polarization conversion element in the optical disk device for amplifying the signal with interference of the light not radiated to the disk with the reflected light from the disk. Moreover, adjustment of reflection mirror angle of the reference light is no longer required by using a corner cube prism as the reference light reflection mirror and highly accurate signal detection can also be realized with a simplified structure.
