Provided are a polycarbonate resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate and from 0.001 to 15 parts by weight of a benzotriazole-type UV absorbent and/or a benzophenone-type UV absorbent, and having a sulfur content of at most 50 ppb; and its sheet moldings. The resin composition and its sheet moldings have good weather resistance and heat stability.

Polycarbonate resin composition and products of sheet forming thereof

Provided are a flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition and housings of the composition for electric and electronic instruments and appliances. Having good fluidity and good moldability, the composition can be well molded into thin-wall moldings with good appearance. The composition contains additive components of a fibrous filler, a terpene resin, a composite rubber-based graft copolymer, a halogen-free phosphate compound and a polytetrafluoroethylene.

Polycarbonate resin composition, and instrument housing made of it

There is disclosed a polycarbonate resin composition which comprises an (A) polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer, a (B) polycarbonate resin and a (C) polytetrafluoroethylene which has fibril forming capability and an average molecular weight of at least 500,000 wherein the amount of the polyorganosiloxane moiety contained in the component (A) is 0.1 to 2.0% by weight based on the total amount of the components (A) and (B). The resin composition is excellent in flame retardancy, thermal stability and fluidity while preventing melt dripping at the time of combustion. Accordingly, the resin composition is favorably used in the application field of office automation machinery and equipment, electric and/or electronic field, etc.

Polycarbonate resin composition

The object of the present invention is to develop a polycarbonate resin composition excellent in transparency and flame retardance and a process for producing the same. The present invention relates to a polycarbonate resin composition which comprises (A) polycarbonate-based copolymer, (B) glass, and (C) polycarbonate resin, the difference (absolute value) between the refractive index of the mixed resin of (A) and (C), and that of (B) glass being not more than 0.01. The present invention also relates to a process for producing a polycarbonate-based resin composition which comprises kneading (A) polycarbonate-based copolymer, (B) glass, and (C) polycarbonate resin, and adjusting the difference (absolute value) between the refractive index of the mixed resin of (A) and (C), and that of glass to not more than 0.01, by selecting kinds and proportions of the comonomer unit in (A) polycarbonate-based copolymer. The polycarbonate resin composition of the present invention is excellent in transparency and flame retardance, and effectively utilized as the material for various molding products which are extensively used in the fields of electric or electronic appliances and cars.
