Heterocyclic nitrogen-containing purine derivatives and their use in the medicinal applications and compositions containing these derivatives is disclosed. A new generation of compounds possessing selective antineurodegenerative properties on neuronal cells and tissues and that can be particularly used in the treatment and prophylaxis of neurodegenerative disease, particularly in the treatment and prophylaxis of Parkinson's disease is also disclosed.

Heterocyclic nitrogen-containing purine derivatives, pharmaceutical preparations containing these derivatives and their use in neuroprotection

The invention relates to N,N-disubstituted-9-(2-oxacycloalkyl)-9H-purine-2, 6-diamine derivatives and their use as drugs and cosmetics. The compounds of the present invention exhibit a number of biological activities associated with oxidative stress inhibition, especially anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and anti-neurodegenerative biological activities. The invention also relates to cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions containing such derivatives as active agents.

9-(2-oxacycloalkyl)-9H-purine-2,6-diamine derivatives and their use for the treatment of skin disorders

6,8-Disubstituted-9-(heterocyclyl)purines for use in pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions and applications are provided. These 6,8-disubstituted-9-(heterocyclyl)purines have a wide range of biological activities, including for example antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-senescent, anti-aging, as well as well as other activities which are especially useful in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. Compositions may include additional excipients and auxiliary substances. Methods of treatment of animals, mammals, plants, cells, yeast, and cells in tissue culture are also disclosed.

6,8-disubstituted-9-(heterocyclyl)purines, compositions containing these derivatives and their use in cosmetic and medicinal applications

The invention relates to 6-substituted 9-halogenalkyl purine derivatives of the general formula I wherein R6 is selected from the group comprising &#x2014;NH-furfuryl, &#x2014;NH-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl), &#x2014;NH-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl), &#x2014;NH-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl), &#x2014;NH-(4-hydroxy-1,3-dimethylbut-2-en-1-yl), &#x2014;NH-(4-hydroxy-1,3-dimethylbutyl), &#x2014;NH-benzyl, &#x2014;NH-phenyl, wherein benzyl, furfuryl and phenyl can be unsubstituted or optionally substituted with 1 to 3 substituents selected from the group comprising hydroxy, halogen, methyl and methoxy, and R9 is selected from the group comprising C-Calkyl or C-Calkenyl wherein each of the groups is substituted with one or more halogen atoms, for use in the regulation of growth and development of plant cells, organs and/or whole plants. The invention also relates to preparations containing these derivatives and to novel to 6-substituted 9-halogenalkyl purines.
