The present invention relates to sulfur dye protection systems and compositions and methods employing same, as well as processes for making sulfur dyes, especially bleach stable sulfur dyes, processes for dying textiles with sulfur dyes and textiles dyed by such processes. Wash added fabric care compositions including a dispersible polyolefin wax. More particularly the present invention relates to detergent compositions including dispersible polyolefin wax. The polyolefin wax may be at least partially modified to contain various functional groups such as carboxyl, alklamide, sulfonic acid or amide groups. The polyolefin wax may be introduced in the form of a suspension, dispersion, or emulsion. A method for applying these compositions during the wash cycle of a laundry process is also included.

A method for the treatment of a non-finished textile component is provided. The method comprises the steps of treating a non-finished textile component in an aqueous bleaching solution of hydrogen and a hydrophobic bleach activator or hydrophobic peracid. Preferred bleach activators include the alkanoyloxybenzene sulfonates and in particular noanoyloxybenzene sulfonate. The method provides superior fiber protection and fabric strength benefits versus conventional processing as well as significant savings in both energy and time due to the lower bleaching temperatures.

Method for the use of hydrophobic bleaching systems in textile preparation

The present invention relates to a laundry detergent composition comprising an anionically modified cellulose (AMC); and a cationic metal ion. The molar ratio of the anionically modified group of the AMC to the cationic metal ion is preferably from about 50:1 to about 1:50. The laundry detergent composition containing such materials maintain a good fabric appearance, such as better pill/fuzz prevention and color maintenance.

A one step method for the treatment of a non-finished textile component is provided. The method comprises the combination of a bleaching and de-sizing treatment steps into a single step and comprises treating a non-finished textile component in an aqueous treatment solution of a hydrophobic bleaching system and a de-sizing system. Preferred hydrophobic bleaching systems are combinations of hydrogen peroxide and a hydrophobic bleach activator or a hydrophobic peracid. Preferred bleach activators include the alkanoyloxybenzene sulfonates and in particular noanoyloxybenzene sulfonate. The method provides superior fiber protection and fabric strength benefits versus conventional processing as well as allows significant savings in both energy and time due to the elimination of multiple washing and/or drying stages and lower bleaching temperatures.
