The present disclosure provides an aluminum phosphite-based complex with dual-peak thermal gravity decomposition characteristics and a preparation method and use thereof. A structural formula of the complex is as follows: ((HPO)Al)·((HPO)Al), wherein x is 0.01-0.5 and represents a molar ratio of (HPO)Al to (HPO)Al. The dual-peak thermal gravity decomposition characteristics are as follows: a first gravity peak temperature is 460-490° C., and a second gravity peak temperature is 550-580° C. The preparation method includes: uniformly mixing aluminum phosphite and aluminum hydrogen phosphite according to the ratio in the structural formula, and then performing stepwise heating at a rate of 5° C./min to raise the temperature of a mixture from the normal temperature to no more than 350° C. within 1-10 hours, so as to obtain the aluminum phosphite-based complex with the dual-peak thermal gravity decomposition characteristics. The complex may serve as or is configured to prepare a flame retardant or a flame-retardant synergist.

The present invention discloses a crystalline aluminum phosphite, preparation and an application thereof. The compound has the following structural formula (I): where, x is an integer of 1-6; n, y and p are an integer of 1-4; M is Ca, Mg, Al, Zn, Fe, Sn or Ti. The preparation method includes: after dissolving phosphorous acid and hydrogen phosphite into water, adding concentrated phosphoric acid for reaction at 80-90° C., then performing drying at low temperature, dehydration reaction at high temperature, washing and drying. The compound has very high thermal decomposition temperature, high phosphorus content, and good flame retardant property, low water absorption and low acidity; moreover, the compound can serve as a halogen-free flame retardant component of high polymer materials.

Condensate of poly/mono-phosphorous acid and aluminum hydrogen phosphate, preparation and application thereof

The present invention discloses a crystalline aluminum phosphite, a preparation method thereof and an application thereof as or for the preparation of a flame retardant or a flame retardant synergist. The preparation method has the following processes: 1, reacting aluminum hydrogen phosphite with an aluminum-containing compound in water at 80-110&#xb0; C. to obtain a precipitate in the presence of no strong acid or a small amount of strong acid; 2, washing and filtering the precipitate; 3, drying the precipitate at 100-130&#xb0; C.; 4, continuously heating the dried solid step by step at a low speed, where the material temperature is increased to not exceeding 350&#xb0; C. from room temperature at about 5-10 h, with a temperature rise rate not exceeding 5&#xb0; C./min. Compared with amorphous aluminum hydrogen phosphite, the crystalline aluminum phosphite has a higher thermal decomposition temperature, lower water absorption and weaker acidity, and can be synergistic with diethyl aluminum hypophosphite to achieve better flame retardant property and thus, is used for a halogen-free flame retardant component of high polymer materials.
