A registration method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The registration method includes transmitting a registration request message to an access and mobility management function (AMF), wherein the registration request message includes requested network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) including single (S)-NSSAI corresponding to a network slice to which the UE intends to register with; and receiving, from the AMF, a registration accept message as a response to the registration request message, wherein if at least one of the S-NSSAI included in the requested NSSAI is rejected by the AMF, the registration accept message includes the rejected S-NSSAI and a reason for refusal for the rejected S-NSSAI.

Method for registering terminal in wireless communication system and apparatus therefor

It is disclosed a method for managing a PDU session in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same. Particularly, a method for performing handover of a User Equipment (UE) performed by a source Radio Access Network (RAN) that includes a processor, a memory and a communication module in a wireless communication system may include determining to initiate handover to a target RAN; and transmitting a Handover Required message to a source Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), and the handover is a handover in a case that there is no interface between the RANs or AMF change is required, and the Handover Required message includes a PDU session Identifier (ID) of an activated Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session.

Method for managing PDU session in wireless communication system and apparatus therefor

Wireless communications for random access procedures are described. One or more downlink control messages may indicate a system frame number corresponding to a random access preamble. The one or more downlink control messages may indicate the system frame number in a field and/or using a radio network identifier.

Wireless communications for asymmetric services

A base station central unit (BS-CU) transmits, to a wireless device, a first radio resource control (RRC) release message comprising a first configured uplink grant configuration, of a first cell, for an RRC inactive state or an RRC idle state of the wireless device. The BS-CU receives, from the wireless device, via a second cell different from the first cell, a second RRC message comprising a resume identity of the wireless device and indicating a release, by the wireless device, of the first configured uplink grant configuration of the first cell. Configuration release

An access and mobility management function (AMF) receives, from a first wireless device, a service request message requesting activation of a user plane connection of a PDU session for transmission of data packets to a wireless device group comprising one or more second wireless devices. The service request message comprises a multicast information associated with the wireless device group. A determination is made, based on the service request message, to activate a user plane connection of the wireless device group. A message requesting activation of the user plane connection of the wireless device group is sent to a Session Management Function (SMF).

Group communication service request

A session management function (SMF) receives, from a wireless device, an indication that an always-on packet data unit (PDU) session is requested. The SMF determines to establish the PDU session as an always-on PDU session based on: the indication that the always-on PDU session is requested; and the PDU session being for an ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) service. The SMF sends, to the wireless device, an indication that the PDU session is to be established as the always-on PDU session.

Always-on packet data unit session indication

A wireless device may communicate with a base station via a cell. A cell may be selected for wireless communications based on having a configuration that is capable of serving certain wireless resources associated with a wireless device. A wireless device may select a cell that comprises a communication link supporting certain wireless resources that may be required for use by the wireless device.

Cell selection for wireless communications

A base station central unit sends, to a base station distributed unit, a first indication that a cell is associated with a first non-public network (NPN). The base station central unit receives, from an access and mobility management function (AMF), a second indication that a wireless device supports the first NPN. The base station central unit sends, to the base station distributed unit and based on the second indication, a request for configuration of the cell for the wireless device.

Cell configuration

A first base station receives a first request to notify a change of a closed access group (CAG) area of a wireless device. The first base station determines the change of the CAG area of the wireless device, and sends, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) and based on the determining, a location report message indicating the change of the CAG area of the wireless device.

Location reporting handling

A wireless device may receive to a message requesting a connection setup (e.g., a paging message) via a first access technology (e.g., a 3GPP access technology) from a first wireless network. The wireless device may respond to the message by sending a response message via a second access technology (e.g., a non-3GPP access technology). The wireless device may send the response message to indicate that the wireless device does not accept the connection setup request.

Wireless communications for communication setup/response

A session management function (SMF) sends, to a user plane function (UPF), a session configuration message comprising a packet detection rule (PDR) for a group communication session. The PDR comprises a multicast address mapped to a plurality of wireless devices associated with the group communication session, and a forwarding rule associated with the multicast address. The SMF receives, from the UPF, a data notification indicating multicast data arrival for the plurality of wireless devices associated with the multicast address. The SMF sends, to the UPF, a session modification request indicating downlink tunnel information for transmission of the multicast data by the UPF.

Group communication signaling overload mitigation

A wireless device receives, from a base station, a first system information block. The first system information block comprises a broadcast status parameter indicating that a second system information block for a sidelink communication is provided on-demand. A radio resource control (RRC) request to establish an RRC connection for the sidelink communication is transmitted based on the broadcast status parameter. Based on the RRC connection, a sidelink request for a sidelink resource for the sidelink communication is transmitted. An RRC message indicating the sidelink resource is received.

On demand system information for sidelink communications

A wireless device in an RRC connected state receives a radio resource control (RRC) message from a base station. The wireless device transitions from the RRC connected state to an RRC inactive station in response to the RRC message. The RRC message indicates an active time period in which the wireless device is reachable by paging. The wireless device monitors to receive a paging message during the active time period after the transitioning. The wireless stops monitoring for the paging message in response to the expiration of the active time period.
