Disclosed is a type of antenna for vehicles that is protected by having a cap fitted-onto an antenna cover that covers an antenna element thereof, wherein coming-off of the cap is prevented from happening. The antenna for vehicles, which is comprised by having an antenna rod mounted onto an antenna base, is provided with: a conductive rod element that is formed within the antenna rod, and connected to the antenna base; a joint section that covers at least the side face of the rod element in the axis direction thereof, and that comprises an inner-side cylinder that is formed in the vicinity of an end section at the opposite side of the antenna base and further comprises a joint engaging section, and an outer-side cylinder that is formed at the outer side of the inner-side cylinder; and a rod cap that comprises a cop engaging section for engaging with the joint engaging section.

Antenna for vehicles

Provided is an antenna connector assembly which eliminates adverse effects to a window glass when being fitted on a manufacture line, and is easily and surely attached and removed even in a small space. The antenna connector assembly for connecting an antenna element and a cable is composed of a plug section () and a socket section (). A cable () is connected to the plug section (). The antenna element is connected to the socket section (), and the plug section () fits in the socket section. The socket section () has an inserting port () from which the plug section () can be inserted by being slid in the longitudinal direction of the socket section (). The plug section () has an inclined surface () on a portion which abuts to the socket section () when the plug section is started to be inserted into the inserting port () in a diagonal direction.

Antenna connector assembly

A circuit board built-in connector and a catcher are provided. The circuit board built-in connector and the catcher can be miniaturized, have high cable pulled-out strength and resistance to noise and electrostatic property, and are easy for installation and high in line operability. The circuit board built-in connector for connecting an antenna element () with a cable () is comprised of a circuit board (), a ground member (), and a cable clamping portion (). The circuit board () has connecting terminals and an electronic circuit is placed thereon. The ground member () is provided adjacent to a side portion of the circuit board in a perpendicular manner to a plate surface of the circuit board. Then, the cable clamping portion () extends from the ground member to hold the cable (). The catcher (), on one hand, set on a side of the antenna element, is provided with a ground terminal () for connecting the ground member with the ground on the side of the antenna element, and a power supply terminal () for connecting a connecting terminal of the circuit board with the antenna element.

Circuit board built-in connector and catcher

A base side connecting mechanism () comprises a holder (), a plug metal () and a sleeve (). The plug metal () has a shaft () and a lock pin () projecting from the shaft () in a radial direction. The sleeve () is disposed to move slidingly along an axial direction of the shaft (), is supported by the plug metal () through a wave washer (), and receives biasing power toward an antenna mast () side. A mast side connecting mechanism () comprises a circular cylinder portion (). The circular cylinder portion () is formed to press the sleeve () along the axial direction and has loosely penetrated portions () in which the lock pin () can move along a circumferential direction and in which other end portions are large-diameter.

Detachable vehicle roof antenna

The vehicle roof antenna mounting assembly comprises a convex portion (), a bolt () and a leg washer (). The convex portion is inserted into a mounting hole (RH) of a vehicle roof panel (R) and has a edge portion () and a inner threaded hole (). The bolt has a screw screwed to the threaded hole and is tightened to the convex portion. The leg washer has a plate washer ring (), a leg portion () and a taper portion (). The leg portion is extendedly provided from the washer ring toward the mounting hole. The taper portion is provided on the leg portion as opposed to the edge portion and abutted on the edge portion to expand the tip portion toward an outside of the mounting hole.

Vehicle roof antenna mounting assembly

A connection terminal unit for an antenna, which is connected to a connection terminal of the antenna, comprises a connection cord which feeds power to the antenna and transmits a signal received by the antenna, a terminal portion having a first end attached to one end of the connection cord and a second end, and a mold member formed to cover the terminal portion and a part of the connection cord, and the mold member has a thin-plate bottom portion and a plurality of island-shaped portions molded integrally with the bottom portion and spaced at appropriate intervals, and the second end of the terminal portion is exposed from the bottom portion.

An on-vehicle rod antenna device comprises an antenna rod, and an antenna base comprising a joint section to which the antenna rod is connected, in which the joint section comprises a tip portion, the tip portion is covered with the antenna rod in a state of connecting the antenna rod, and a substantially hemisphere recess or salient engaging with an inner circumferential surface of the antenna rod is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the tip portion.

On-vehicle rod antenna device

A joint assembly provided to an end portion of antenna rod is placed between supporting portions of an antenna base. A click cylinder is then introduced into a hole of the supporting portion to engage recess and convex portions formed on a plate as an end surface of the click cylinder and an inner sursurface of the joint assembly, thereby generate click resistance. A coil spring is inserted into the click cylinder thereafter, then a bolt is introduced into the click cylinder through a washer. The bolt is screwed with a nut via a wave washer, a washer, and a spring washer.
