An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a battery, at least one coil, a wireless power transmission/reception circuit electrically coupled to the at least one coil, a charging circuit electrically coupled between the wireless power transmission/reception circuit and the battery, and a processor. The processor may be configured to detect an external electronic device capable of wireless power transmission by using the wireless power transmission/reception circuit), identify a magnitude of power to be received at the external electronic device, control the wireless power transmission/reception circuit to output a first control error packet (CEP) signal having a first power magnitude which is fixed, based on the magnitude of the power being less than a specified power magnitude, and control the wireless power transmission/reception circuit to output a second CEP signal having a variable power magnitude based on the first power magnitude and a second power magnitude, based on the magnitude of the power being equal to or greater than the specified power magnitude.

Electronic device and method of outputting power control signal for wireless power reception in the electronic device

According to one embodiment, an electronic device comprises a battery, an antenna module including a first coil and a second coil, at least one switch electrically connected with the antenna module, a magnetic field controller electrically connected with the antenna module, a charger electrically connected with the battery and the magnetic field controller, and at least one processor electrically connected with the at least one switch, the magnetic field controller, and the charger. The at least one processor may be configured to, based on an operation mode associated with the antenna module, control the at least one switch to connect the first coil with the magnetic field controller, or to connect the first coil and the second coil in parallel and allow the first coil and the second coil connected in parallel to connect with the magnetic field controller. Other embodiments may be possible as well.

Multi-coil antenna, electronic device, and method for connecting multi-coil antenna in electronic device

According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise a battery, a multi-coil circuit including a first coil and a second coil, a magnetic field control circuit electrically connected with the multi-coil circuit, a power management module electrically connected with the battery and the magnetic field control circuit, and a processor electrically connected with the multi-coil circuit, the magnetic field control circuit, and the power management module. Upon detecting an external electronic device to receive wireless power, the processor may control the magnetic field control circuit to transmit power having a first characteristic to the external electronic device through the first coil, and upon transmitting the power having the first characteristic, control the magnetic field control circuit to maintain transmission through the first coil based on a first operating frequency and a threshold operating frequency in a designated frequency range, or upon transmitting the power having the first characteristic, adjust an operating voltage based on the first operating frequency and the threshold operating frequency and control the magnetic field control circuit to transmit power having a second characteristic through the first coil and the second coil based on a first frequency varied in response to the adjusted operating voltage. Other embodiments may also be possible.
