A medical information system includes a patient server that retains vital information received from a patient terminal. The patient server transmits the vital information to a medical care provider server through a network. The vital information retained in the medical care provider server can then be browsed from a doctor terminal.

A communication system for providing information of a medical doctor's questions to patients includes a medical doctor terminal apparatus, a patient terminal apparatus, and a database server apparatus for storing question sets for the medical doctor's questions to patients, where the medical doctor terminal apparatus, patient terminal apparatus and database server apparatus are connected through a communication network. The patient terminal apparatus generates question programs for making inquiries about the medical doctor's questions to patients in accordance with the question sets received from the database server apparatus, displays the questions for the medical doctor's questions to patients by execution of the generated question programs, enters answer data to the displayed questions, transmits the entered answer data to the database server apparatus, and stores the transmitted answer data in the database server apparatus. The medical doctor terminal apparatus receives the stored answer data by accessing the database server apparatus, and displays the received answer data thereon.

A scalable tele-care monitoring device has a plurality of physiological sensors adapted to collect patient physiological data. The device also has an interface adapted to connect with a personal computer, and an expansion module adapted to communicate patient physiological data to the personal computer via the interface. In further aspects, the device has an output adapted to communicate the patient physiological data over a communications network when the device is not interfaced with the personal computer.

Tele-care monitoring device

A medical information system has a patient terminal device, a server, and an administrator terminal device. The patient terminal device, the server, and the administrator terminal device are connected together on a network. The patient terminal device includes sensors for measuring information used as indices of the condition of a patient's health; a part for transferring measured data obtained by the sensors to the patient terminal device; a part for transferring the measured data from the sensors to the server via the network; a part for accepting control information from the server, and a part for taking action based on the control information. The server includes a part for transmitting the control information to the patient terminal device; and a part for storing and sorting out the measured data transferred from the patient terminal device. The administrator terminal includes a part for reviewing the measured data stored and sorted out in the server.

A method of the present invention is a fluorescence polarization method at multiple wavelengths for analyzing two or more different assay-objects in a sample. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing two or more different fluorescent-labeled substances, each being a substance which is capable of specifically binding to respective one of the assay-objects and is covalently bound to a fluorochrome, wherein the fluorochromes of the fluorescent-labeled substances are different from one another; (b) allowing the fluorescent-labeled substances to bind to the two or more different assay-objects, respectively; and (c) measuring a change in the degree of fluorescence polarization which has taken place in each of the fluorescent-labeled substances by its binding to one of the assay-objects.

A fluorescence polarization method for analyzing an assay-object in a sample is provided.
