Provided is a time of flight (ToF) sensor and a method for controlling the ToF sensor. The ToF sensor includes a first light emitter configured to output first light of a first pattern, a second light emitter configured to output second light of a second pattern, an image sensor including a plurality of pixels, and at least one processor configured to control the first light emitter and the second light emitter to sequentially output the first light and the second light, obtain, based on the output first light and second light being received through the image sensor by being reflected by a plurality of objects, a first image frame corresponding to the received first light and a second image frame corresponding to the received second light, and identify distances between the ToF sensor and the plurality of objects based on the first image frame and the second image frame.

An electronic apparatus is provided. The electronic apparatus according to the disclosure includes: a light emitter; a light receiver; a memory; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: acquire a first depth image based on first reflected light acquired during a first time period and store the first depth image in the memory, acquire a second depth image based on second reflected light acquired during a second time period following the first time period, and acquire distance information between the electronic apparatus and the object included in the second depth image by subtracting a first depth value of each pixel of the first depth image from a second depth value of each pixel of the second depth image, and correct the distance information by using a compensation value acquired based corresponding to time information on the second time period.

An apparatus and method are provided for handling 360 degree image content captured by a 360 degree camera. A method includes obtaining, by an electronic device, a sequence of 360 degree projection format image frames associated with the 360 degree image content and inertial measurement unit (IMU) rotation data associated with the 360 degree image content, computing, by the electronic device, a relative rotation of the 360 degree image content, and applying, by the electronic device, the relative rotation to at least one of the 360 degree projection format image frames to stabilize the 360 degree image content.
