An anti-collision system for an aircraft and an aircraft including the anti-collision system are disclosed including a sensor data processing unit configured to process data received from multiple sensors installed on a tow tug to detect objects around the aircraft, and output information about detected objects; a safeguarding box building unit configured to generate, based on an aircraft geometry database, a three-dimensional safeguarding box for the aircraft; and a risk assessment unit configured to update the safeguarding box based on data corresponding to different operation modes of the tow tug, calculate relative distances between the detected objects and the aircraft based on the information about the detected objects that is output from the sensor data processing unit, and determine whether there is a collision risk between the aircraft and an object, among the detected objects based on the updated safeguarding box. The system is configured to output an alarm or a warning when there is the collision risk.

Disclosed are an anti-collision system and method for an aircraft and an aircraft including the anti-collision system. The anti-collision system includes: a sensor data processing unit configured to process data received from a plurality of sensors to detect objects around the aircraft, and output a result about detected objects; a safeguarding box building unit configured to generate, based on an aircraft geometry database, a three-dimensional safeguarding box for the aircraft; and a risk assessment unit configured to calculate relative distances between detected objects and the aircraft, and determine whether there is a collision risk between the aircraft and an object, among the detected objects, located in the safeguarding box or to be entering into the safeguarding box, wherein the system is configured to output an alarm or a warning when there is the collision risk.

In some examples, a system includes a range sensor configured to receive signals reflected from objects in an environment and generate two or more successive scans of the environment at different times. The system also includes a camera configured to capture two or more successive camera images of the environment, wherein each of the two or more successive camera images of the environment is captured by the camera at a different location within the environment. The system further includes processing circuitry configured to generate a three-dimensional map of the environment based on the two or more successive scans and the two or more successive camera images.

Systems and methods are provided for determining diversion airports for landing an aircraft in adverse conditions. A communication device is configured to facilitate the transmission and display of flight information. A ground based monitoring server (GBMS) communicates with the aircraft over a wireless communication channel. The GBMS has a diversion landing prediction assistance system (DLPAS) that communicates with and queries an aircraft flight parameter database, an airport parameter database, and an airport weather database. The DLPAS monitors parameters from the databases, determines a destination probability of the aircraft to land at the destination airport based on the monitored parameters, and, when the destination probability for a successful landing is less than a predetermined destination threshold, selects a diversion airport to land the aircraft. The GBMS transmits the selected diversion airport to the aircraft.

System and method for determining diversion airports for landing in adverse conditions

A method for providing air traffic control (ATC) message data onboard an aircraft is provided. The method identifies ATC commands associated with text-based messages, by at least one processor onboard the aircraft, wherein the ATC commands comprise instructions to follow one or more particular procedures associated with the ATC audio messages and the ATC direct text messages; identifies, by the at least one processor, graphical content associated with the ATC commands; and presents an ATC graphical rendering environment comprising at least the graphical content, via at least one aircraft onboard display communicatively coupled to the at least one processor.

Systems and Methods for Collaborative Vehicle Mission Operations are provided. In one embodiment, a method to facilitate collaborative vehicle mission operations comprises: inputting a deployment position and a selected mission category into a mission crew personal computing device; wirelessly communicating the deployment position and the selected mission category to a support vehicle, the support vehicle comprising a mission sensor and a mission computer; receiving the deployment position at a navigation system onboard the vehicle and navigating the vehicle to the deployment position; configuring the operation of the mission sensor and mission computer as defined by a predefined mission profile stored onboard the vehicle; preprocessing sensor measurements from the sensor to extract a subset of data defined as relevant to the mission category based on the predefined mission profile; and transmitting the subset of data defined as relevant to the selected mission category to the mission crew personal computing device.
