The present invention relates to a de-latching mechanism and optical module using the same. The de-latching mechanism includes a pull rod and a de-latching sheet or plate. The pull rod is configured to cause the de-latching sheet or plate to slide by rotating or sliding, thereby de-latch the optical module. The present invention provides a de-latching mechanism and optical module using the same with a simple structure and various convenient ways to de-latch the optical module, which can use a smaller rotational angle, simple condition(s) for de-latching and less de-latching environment support.

Embodiments of the disclosure pertain to an electromagnetic interference shielding device comprising a base plate, first and second lateral plates connected and oriented orthogonally to the base plate, and at least one top plate connected to and oriented orthogonally to the first and second lateral plates, and a method of manufacturing such an electromagnetic interference shielding device. The top plate(s) further include (i) first and second front or side bends extending toward the base plate from a first side of the top plate(s) and (ii) first and second rear bends extending toward the base plate from a second side of the top plates. The second side of the top plate(s) is different from the first side.

EMI shielding device for an optical transceiver and methods of manufacturing the same

A latch fitting, a (de)latching mechanism, and an optical transceiver including the same are disclosed. The latch fitting includes a latch body, a catch extending from a first end of the latch body, a latch tail extending from an opposite end of the latch body, first and second wings extending from the latch body in opposite or complementary directions, and a spindle around which the latch fitting is rotatable. The latch tail is configured to engage with a latch handle to latch and de-latch the optical transceiver. Thus, the (de)latching mechanism includes the latch fitting and the latch handle. The present latch fitting, (de)latching mechanism and optical transceiver are more robust and less susceptible to damage than conventional latch fitting, (de)latching mechanisms, and optical transceivers.
