A method of conditioning an environment includes generating, by a group feedback analysis system, a first comfort limit based on a first plurality of data points corresponding to user feedback of a group of users in an environment conditioned by an environmental conditioning system, and each associated with temperature and humidity environmental criterions. The method further includes generating a second comfort limit based on a second plurality of data points corresponding to user feedback of the group of users, and associated with the temperature and humidity environmental criterions. The method identifies a constrained comfort zone defined by the first comfort limit, the second comfort limit, predefined lower and upper bounds for the temperature environmental criterion, and predefined lower and upper bounds for the humidity environmental criterion. The environmental system is controlled to maintain the temperature and humidity environmental criterions within the constrained comfort zone.

An air-conditioning interactive terminal, a controller for an air-conditioning system, an air-conditioning system and an air-conditioning interactive system. The air-conditioning interactive terminal is configured with a social communication media module, wherein a user is registered as a first registered user in the social communication media module; the air-conditioning interactive terminal is configured such that the user realizes interactive communication between the first registered user and a second registered user corresponding to one or more air conditioners based on the social communication media module, wherein the second registered user is correspondingly registered by the air conditioners in the social communication media module. The air-conditioning interactive terminal can be implemented based on an instant on-line chatting tool which has been applied on a large scale.

A method of conditioning an environment includes generating, by a group feedback analysis system, a first comfort limit based on a first plurality of data points corresponding to user feedback of a group of users in an environment conditioned by an environmental conditioning system to identify the first comfort limit at a first extreme; generating, by the group feedback analysis system, a second comfort limit based on a second plurality of data points corresponding to user feedback of the group of users in the environment conditioned by the environmental conditioning system to identify the second comfort limit at a second extreme, the second extreme being opposite the first extreme; identifying, by the group feedback analysis system, a comfort region defined by the first comfort limit and the second comfort limit; and controlling the environmental conditioning system to maintain at least one environmental criterion within the comfort region.

A flow battery includes a cell stack that has electrochemically active cells and manifolds that define common manifold passages in fluid communication with the electrochemically active cells. A supply/storage system is external of the cell stack and includes at least one vessel fluidly connected with respective ones of the common manifold passages. Fluid electrolytes are in the supply/storage system. At least one of the fluid electrolytes is an ionic-conductive fluid. The manifolds extend in a length direction through the cell stack. The common manifold passages include a common manifold passage P that varies in cross-section along the length direction.

A flow battery stack includes a plurality of flow battery cells, a manifold and a heat exchanger. Each flow battery cell includes an electrode layer that is wet by an electrolyte solution having a reversible redox couple reactant. The manifold includes a solution passage that exchanges the electrolyte solution with the flow battery cells. The heat exchanger includes a heat exchange fluid passage. The heat exchanger exchanges heat between the electrolyte solution in the solution passage and a heat exchange fluid directed through the heat exchange fluid passage. The flow battery cells, the manifold and the heat exchanger are arranged between first and second ends of the flow battery stack.
