An electronic device includes a side surface member, a wireless communication circuit, and a switch circuit. The side surface member includes a first conductive portion coupled to the wireless communication circuit and the switch circuit, a second conductive portion coupled to the switch circuit, and a first non-conductive portion disposed between the first conductive portion and the second conductive portion. The switch circuit is controlled to be in at least one of a first state, a second state, and a third state, based on a first frequency of a first operating signal supplied by the wireless communication circuit. The switch circuit is configured to couple the second conductive portion to the wireless communication circuit, in the first state, and to couple the second conductive portion to the first conductive portion, in the second state.

Antenna and electronic device having same

An electronic device is provided, including a communication circuit; a flexible display; and a foldable housing including a first housing portion and a second housing portion foldable with respect to each other. The first housing portion includes, as a first external side thereof, a first metal portion, a second metal portion, and a first non-metal portion disposed between the first metal portion and the second metal portion. The second housing portion includes, as a second external side thereof, a third metal portion, a fourth metal portion, and a second non-metal portion disposed between the third and fourth metal portions. The first metal portion is electrically connected with the communication circuit and operates as an antenna radiator. When the foldable housing is folded such that the first housing portion contacts the second housing portion, the first non-metal portion and the second non-metal portion are aligned with each other.

Electronic device with metal frame antenna

An electronic device including an antenna module is provided. The electronic device includes a 5th generation (5G) antenna module that includes an antenna array, at least one conductive region operating as a ground with respect to the antenna array, and a first communication circuit feeding a power to the antenna array to communicate through a millimeter wave signal, and a printed circuit board (PCB) that includes a second communication circuit and a ground region. The second communication circuit feeds the power to an electrical path at least including the at least one conductive region and transmits or receives a signal in a frequency band different from a frequency band of the millimeter wave signal based on the electrical path supplied with the power and the ground region.

Electronic device including 5G antenna module

An electronic device may include a first PCB including a non-conductive region and a conductive region operating as a ground, a first wireless communication circuit disposed on the first PCB, and a 5th generation (5G) antenna module disposed adjacent to the first PCB. The 5G antenna module may include at least one second PCB including an antenna array and a conductive layer operating as a ground of the antenna array and a second wireless communication circuit electrically connected to the antenna array. The second PCB may include a first portion and a second portion having a predetermined angle with the first portion. The first portion may be disposed adjacent to the non-conductive region and at least part of the second portion may be disposed adjacent to the conductive region. The first wireless communication circuit may be electrically connected to a first point of the conductive layer included in the first portion and transmitting or receiving a first RF signal in a first frequency band by using the conductive region and at least part of the conductive layer. The second wireless communication circuit may transmit or receive a second RF signal in a second frequency band by using the antenna array. Besides, various embodiments as understood from the specification are also possible.

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device comprises: a housing including a front plate, a rear plate positioned on the opposite side from the front plate, and a side bezel surrounding at least part of the space between the front plate and the rear plate, and including a first conduction unit comprising a conductor, a second conduction unit comprising a conductor positioned such that a first segment is between the second conduction unit and one end of the first conduction unit, and a third conduction unit comprising a conductor positioned such that a second segment is between the third conduction unit and an other end of the first conduction unit; a support positioned inside the space and connected to the first conduction unit, the second conduction unit, and the third conduction unit, and which includes a first opening extending from the first segment and positioned within a specified proximity of the first conduction unit; a printed circuit board positioned inside the space between the support and the rear plate, and including first and second terminals electrically connected to at least part of the support surrounding the first opening, a ground plane, a first electrical path electrically connecting the second terminal and a first position of the ground plane, and a second electrical path electrically connecting the second terminal and a second position of the ground plane; and a wireless communication circuit electrically connected to the first terminal and configured to transmit and/or receive signals in a selected or designated frequency band, wherein, when viewed from above the rear plate, at least part of the first opening may extend to the first segment by passing between the first terminal and the second terminal.

Electronic device comprising antenna

An electronic device including an antenna and a stylus pen, that can reduce antenna performance degradation, is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including a conductive part and at least one cut-off portion formed in the conductive part, a printed circuit board disposed inside the housing, a wireless communication interface disposed on the printed circuit board, and a stylus pen, wherein the conductive part may be electrically connected to the wireless communication interface, wherein the stylus pen may include at least one cut-off portion, and at least one magnet enabling attachment and detachment to and from the housing, and wherein when the stylus pen is attached to the housing, the at least one cut-off portion formed in the conductive part and the at least one cut-off portion formed in the stylus pen are aligned.
