A stacked electrical connector has an insulative housing (), a plurality of signal contacts () and a pair of contacts () retained in the housing. The housing defines a mounting surface () for mounting on a printed circuit board and a receiving space () for receiving a mating plug (). The switch contact includes a base portion retained in the housing and a spring arm extending from the base portion. An insulative separator () is formed on one spring arm and projects into the receiving space. The separator is moveable in a plane vertical to the mounting surface. When the mating plug inserts into the receiving space, the separator rotates and drives one switch contact to connect with the other switch contact.

Electrical connector

An optical fiber connector () includes a housing defining a cavity () and a receiving space () therein, an optical element () received in the cavity and a protecting member received in the receiving space. The protecting member includes a door () defining an aperture () therein and a spring member () assembled to the door. The spring member is deformable in the cavity along a front-to-back direction when a fiber plug () is inserted/withdrawn. The protecting member occupies a small inner space of the optical fiber connector.

Optical fiber connector

An electrical card connector () for compatibly electrically connecting with a number of electronic cards (), includes an insulator () defining a number of recesses () for insertion of the electronic cards, a number of contacts () assembled to the insulator () and a protective device () provided with a pair of resilient arms (). Each resilient arm is formed with a hook () engageable with the insulator. The protective device slides to expose the contacts when a suitable card is inserted.

Electrical card connector with protective device

An electrical connector () mounted on a circuit board is provided for mating with an electric device. The electrical connector includes a dielectric housing () having a terminal passage (), a pair of conductive contact elements () received in the housing, and a fixing pad () connecting the circuit board. Each conductive contact element includes a base portion () positioned in the terminal passage, a tail portion () arranged on one side of the housing for connecting with a circuit board, a contacting portion () which serves for contacting the electric device, and a spring portion () connecting the contacting portion resiliently to the base portion. The fixing pad is fixed to the other side of the housing for providing balanced force acted on the electrical connector during mating with the electric device.

Electrical connector having resilient contacts

A card connector includes an insulating housing defining at least two adjacent card cavities; a number of card contacts are retained in the housing and divided into at least two groups to expose to corresponding card cavities; and at least one controlling member is disposed on the housing between the two card cavities, and a stopper is deflected between the two car cavities and protruding into one card cavity once a card inserted into the other car cavity, and a resilient portion is for urging the stopper to resume its original position once the card withdrew from the other cavity.

Card connector

An electrical connector () includes an insulative housing (), a number of contacts () received in the housing, an inner shell () and an outer shell () covering the housing. The housing defines a partition () extending forwardly. The outer shell defines a pair of concaves () and a pair of resilient grounding tabs () extending upwardly therefrom for contacting with a metal panel of a personal computer to establish ground connections. The inner shell surrounds the partition with a pair of tangs () engaging in the concaves of the outer shell.

An electrical connector () includes an insulative housing (), a terminal subassembly () having a number of terminals () received in the insulative housing, an inner shell () received in the insulative housing, an outer shell () enclosing the insulative housing and a shielding clip () assembled on the insulative housing. The clip includes an inner contacting portion () for electrically connecting with inner shell and an outer contacting portion () for electrically connecting with the outer shell.

An electrical connector () includes a dielectric housing (), a number of first and second terminals () received in the dielectric housing respectively and a spacer () assembled onto the dielectric housing. Each terminal comprises a contact portion () adapted for engaging with a complementary connector and an intermediate portion () extending from the contact portion. The intermediate portion () of the first terminal is insert-molded in the spacer. The intermediate portion () of the second terminal is sandwiched between the dielectric housing and the spacer.

An electrical connector () includes an insulative housing (), a number of contacts (), a shielding device () and a pair of latch members (). The shielding device includes a first and a second shielding portions () assembled to the housing. The first shielding portion includes a body (), a frame () extending forwardly from the body, and a number of elastic plates () extending rearwardly from an upper end of the body. Each elastic plate has an abutting portion (). The second shielding portion has a top wall (), a rear wall (), and two side walls (). The top wall defines a number of concaves () mating with the abutting portions of the elastic plates.

Electrical connector with improved shielding device

An electrical connector assembly () includes an insulating housing (), a number of mating ports (), a first terminal group (), a second terminal group () and a third terminal group (). The insulating housing defines a number of receiving spaces () alternately arranged. A number of first, second and third slots () are respectively defined in the housing and communicate with corresponding cavities. The first terminal group comprises a plurality of terminal units each comprising a pair of contacting portions () exposed into the receiving spaces and a number of tail portions respectively received in the third slots. The second terminal group is received in the second slots. The third terminal group is received in the third slots and electrically connects with the tail portions of the first terminal group.

Stacked electrical connector assembly

An electrical connector () includes an insulative housing () and a number of electrical contacts (). The insulative housing includes a base () having a pair of side walls (), a slot () formed between the two side walls, and a number of passageways () and recesses () both defined on the side walls. Each side wall has an outer face () and each recess extends from a corresponding passageway to the outer face. The electrical contacts are received in the passageways of the insulative housing.
