A display panel includes: a first substrate having a top surface and a side surface, the top surface including a display area and a non-display area outside the display area; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a first insulating structure disposed between the second substrate and the first substrate, wherein the first insulating structure overlaps the non-display area without overlapping the display area; an organic light emitting diode between the first substrate and the second substrate and overlapping the display area; a thin film encapsulation layer on the organic light emitting diode; a signal line having a side surface substantially aligned with the side surface of the first substrate, wherein the signal line is disposed on the first substrate; a second insulating structure overlapping the signal line and disposed between the first substrate and the first insulating structure, wherein the second insulating structure has a side surface substantially aligned with the side surface of the first substrate; and a connection pad being in contact with the side surface of the signal line, wherein the second insulating structure includes an organic layer overlapping the signal line and the non-display area without overlapping the display area.

Display panel

A display panel includes a first base substrate, a second base substrate facing the first base substrate, an insulating structure including a non-pad portion having an end aligned with a side surface of the second base substrate and a pad portion having an end laterally recessed from the side surface of the second base substrate, a pixel overlapping a display area and disposed between the first and second base substrates, a signal line on the first base substrate and connected to the pixel, and a connection pad including a portion disposed in a connection region defined between the side surface of the second base substrate and the end of the pad portion. The signal line overlaps the pad portion. The connection pad is in contact with the signal line. The insulating structure is disposed between the first and second base substrates and overlaps a non-display area outside the display area.

Display panel and method of manufacturing the same

A display panel includes: a first substrate having a top surface and a side surface, the top surface including a display area and a non-display area outside the display area; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a first insulating structure disposed between the second substrate and the first substrate, wherein the first insulating structure overlaps the non-display area without overlapping the display area; a pixel disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and overlapping the display area; a signal line having a side surface substantially aligned with the side surface of the first substrate, wherein the signal line is disposed on the first substrate; a second insulating structure overlapping the signal line and disposed between the first substrate and the first insulating structure, wherein the second insulating structure has a side surface substantially aligned with the side surface of the first substrate; and a connection pad being in contact with the side surface of the signal line. The second insulating structure includes an organic pattern overlapping the non-display area without overlapping the display area.

Provided is a display device including a display panel including a pixel including a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel, and a capping layer. The first sub-pixel includes a first pixel transistor disposed on a first pixel circuit area, a first pixel electrode disposed on a first pixel electrode area, a first color filter disposed on the first pixel circuit area while covering the first pixel transistor, and a second color filter disposed on the first pixel electrode area and the first pixel circuit area. The capping layer covers the first color filter and the second color filter, and a first opening is defined in one area of the capping layer, which overlaps the second color filter on a plane.

Display device

A display device may include a display panel including a first pixel and a second pixel. The first pixel may include a first pixel electrode and a first pixel circuit, and the second pixel may be disposed adjacent to the first pixel and may include a second pixel electrode and a second pixel circuit. The first pixel electrode may include a first electrode including a first side and a second side extending in a first direction, a first connection electrode connected to the first electrode and electrically connected to the first pixel circuit, first branch electrodes extended from the first side in a second direction away from the first connection electrode, and second branch electrodes extended from the second side in a third direction away from the first connection electrode.

A display panel includes a first substrate having a top surface and a side surface extending in a direction intersecting the top surface, a second substrate, an insulating layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first insulating structure disposed between the insulating layer and the first substrate and being in contact with the insulating layer, a pixel, a signal line having a side surface substantially aligned with the side surface of the first substrate and disposed on the first substrate, a second insulating structure overlapping the signal line, being in contact with the first insulating structure, and having a side surface substantially aligned with the side surface of the first substrate, and a connection pad being in contact with the side surface of the first substrate, the side surface of the signal line, and the side surface of the second insulating structure.
