A method for identifying an Application Detection Control (ADC) function mode is disclosed. The method is applicable to a scenario where a roaming UE accesses a visited network from a visited location, and includes that: when a Visit Policy And Charging Rule Function entity (V-PCRF) creates an S9 session, the V-PCRF informs a Home Policy And Charging Rule Function entity (H-PCRF) of an ADC (ADC) function mode supported by a visited network; and the H-PCRF determines, in accordance with the ADC function mode supported by the visited network, whether to provide the ADC rule to the visited network. A system for identifying an ADC function mode is disclosed. With the method and the system, when a user is in a visited access scenario, a network system can perform a correct application detection function on the user.

Method and system for identifying application detection and control function mode

A method for processing Traffic Detection Function (TDF) session and a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) are provided. The method includes: the PCRF links a first TDF session related with a proxy mobile Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) address and a second TDF session related with a first proxy mobile Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) address to a same IP Connectivity Access Network (IP-CAN) session; when the IPv4 address of the IP-CAN session is released, the PCRF requests the TDF to terminate the first TDF session.

Method for processing TDF session and PCRF

The present disclosure provides a method for implementing usage monitoring control, comprising: a PCRF makes a usage monitoring policy for each IP-CAN session or service data flow that shares a total allowanced usage according to the obtained total allowanced usage shared by multiple users, and the PCRF sends the usage monitoring policy to a PCEF (); the PCEF performs a usage monitoring according to the usage monitoring policy sent by the PCRF, and reports a usage to the PCRF (); the PCRF deducts a consumed usage from the total allowanced usage shared by the multiple users after the PCRF receives the usage reported by the PCEF (). The present disclosure also provides a system for implementing usage monitoring control. Through the solution of the present disclosure, when multiple users share a total allowanced usage, PCRF simultaneously monitors the usage on the multiple users according to the total allowanced usage, thereby avoiding conflicts in policy and charging controls.

Method and system for implementing usage monitoring control

The disclosure discloses a method for Policy and Charging Control (PCC) based on a time period, which comprises: when a Policy and Charging Rule Function (PCRF) entity provides Quality of Service (QoS) rules to a Bearer Binding and Event Reporting Function (BBERF) entity, a time indication of activation and/or deactivation of the QoS rules is provided at the same time. The disclosure also discloses a system for PCC based on a time period, which comprises: a providing unit located in the PCRF entity and configured to provide QoS rules and a time indication of activation and/or deactivation of the QoS rules to the BBERF entity at the same time. The disclosure ensures the consistency between the time of activating the QoS rules by the BBERF entity and the time of activating the PCC rules by the Policy and Control Enforcement Function (PCEF) entity, and the technical scheme is simple and practical.
