The application relates to a method for operating a first scaling entityof a container based cloud infrastructure distributed over a plurality of geographically distributed edge sites-of a network, wherein the container based cloud infrastructure provides at least one service to a user of the network, the method comprising: the step of determining at least one performance parameter influencing a performance how a first part of the container based cloud infrastructure provided on a first edge site of the plurality of edge sites where the first scaling entity is located provides the service to the user. Based on the determined at least one performance parameter, it is determined whether a scaling of the cloud infrastructure located on at least one other edge site of the plurality of geographically distributed edge sites outside the first edge site is necessary, wherein in the affirmative, an amendment of the container based cloud infrastructure is determined at the at least one other edge site which is configured to provide the service to the user. The determined amendment of the container cloud infrastructure is triggered at the at least one other edge site.

Geographic scaling in a container based cloud infrastructure

Disclosed herein is a method performed by one or more computing devices implementing a data readiness manager to proactively migrate and replicate user session data in a distributed edge cloud. The method includes receiving, from a local data management agent of a source data node, an indication to perform data readiness operations for a user session, wherein the source data node is associated with a service instance being accessed by a user associated with the user session, determining a predicted mobility of the user, determining one or more target data nodes based on the predicted mobility of the user, wherein each of the one or more target data nodes is associated with a service instance that is determined to have a sufficiently high probability of being accessed by the user at a future time, and causing data associated with the user session to be migrated and replicated from the source data node to each of the one or more target data nodes.

A method and device for registering an embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) for a device and a method and device for controlling authorization of operation of a device being equipped with an eUICC. In an aspect, a method of a service node of registering an eUICC for a device is provided. The method comprises receiving information specifying ownership of the device and an identifier of the device, receiving an identifier of the eUICC and an identifier of the device, and storing the received information, wherein ownership of the device and the identifier of the eUICC being arranged in the device is registered with the service node.

A method in a wireless device comprises establishing a device-to-device, D2D, wireless connection to the unmanned vehicle; and responsive to receiving an operation command over the D2D wireless connection, performing an operation. A method in an unmanned vehicle comprises determining a current location of a wireless device; travelling to within a wireless range of the current location of the wireless device; establishing a device-to-device, D2D, wireless connection with the wireless device; and transmitting an operation command to the wireless device over the D2D wireless connection to instruct the wireless device to perform an operation.
