A method for optimal path generation includes generating a candidate path to be taken by a platform to move from a start point to a final point, splitting the candidate path into a preset number of sections, calculating a curvature variation of each of the sections, acquiring an optimal path parameter that minimizes a sum of the curvature variations, by changing a path parameter of the candidate path, and determining, as the candidate path corresponding to the optimal path parameter as an optimal path.

Method and apparatus for optimal path generation

A method of determining obstacle collision by using an object moving path includes: acquiring a topological skeleton corresponding to a path area on an image including a moving path of an object and an obstacle; determining, from among skeleton points forming the topological skeleton, branch points that are interconnecting points between branches of the topological skeleton; determining a target branch from among the branches by using the branch points; selecting, from among points forming the target branch, a plurality of target points to determine whether the moving path is a collision path of the object; and determining whether the moving path is the collision path by using the target points.

The cruise control system includes: an information collector configured to obtain road information and driving information; a first path generator configured to generate a first change path connecting a first lane changing start point and a first lane changing end point on a straight road, based on the road information and the driving information; and a second path generator configured to generate a driving road corresponding to an actual road from the straight road, based on the road information, and generate a second change path connecting a second lane changing start point and a second lane changing end point on the driving road.
