There is disclosed a method of operating a terminal () in a wireless communication network, the method comprising receiving and/or transmitting according to a transmission time interval, TTI, configuration, the TTI configuration indicating at least one short transmitting time interval having between one or two and seven symbols of duration in a subframe. There are also disclosed related methods and devices.

Short TTI patterns

A method, wireless device and network node for multiplexing demodulation reference signals, DMRS, during short transmission time intervals, sTTIs. According to one aspect, a method includes generating an indication of an interleaved frequency division multiple access, IFDMA, subcarrier configuration for DMRS transmission. The method further includes transmitting to the wireless device the indication of IFDMA subcarrier configuration.

Signaling of demodulation reference signal configuration for uplink short TTI transmissions

The present disclosure described systems and methods for providing OTT services to a UE. An exemplary OTT-providing host computer includes a transceiver, a processor, and memory collective configured to provide the OTT service by initiating transmission of user data to the UE. To transmit the user data from the host computer to the wireless device, a network node sends a first control message for assigning a PDSCH, the first control message comprising a first MCS indication as described. The network node sends to the wireless device a second control message for assigning a PDSCH, the second control message comprising a second MCS indication as described. The network node transmits the user data thereafter.

Methods and systems for performance enhancement of downlink shared channels

A system and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. In another embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to associate a time domain allocation with a RNTI identifying a user equipment, and provide an indication of the time domain allocation in downlink control information to allow the user equipment to employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated therewith.

System and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system

The disclosure relates to signalling of transmissions with shortened TTI. The disclosure further relates to an RBS and a method performed at the RBS of scheduling resources for a wireless communication device. The disclosure still further relates to a wireless communication device and a method performed at the wireless communication device of being granted data transmission or data reception. In a first aspect of the disclosure, a method performed at an RBS is provided for scheduling resources for a wireless communication device including indicating a grant of a resource for the wireless communication device to transmit or receive data based on DCI and a position of the DCI within a data frame of a downlink control channel.

Signaling of transmissions with shortened TTI

A radio device receives first sidelink control information from a further radio device. Based on assistance information stored in the radio device and the received first sidelink control information, the radio device determines a configuration for transmission of second sidelink control information. Based on the determined configuration for transmission of the second sidelink control information, the radio device receives the second sidelink control information from the further radio device. Based on the received second sidelink control information, the radio device receives a sidelink radio transmission from the further radio device.

Multi-stage sidelink control information

A method for moving a set of positioning reference nodes (PRNs), the set of PRNs including a first PRN. The method includes, for the first PRN, determining a first set of candidate positions to which the first PRN can move. The method also includes, for each candidate position included in the first set of candidate positions, evaluating an objective function using the candidate position, the position of each other PRN included in the set of PRNs, and the position of a target UE to produce an error value indicating a positioning error of the target UE for the candidate position. The method also includes, based on the produced error values, selecting a candidate position from the set of candidate positions. The method further includes triggering the first PRN to move to selected candidate position.

User equipment (UE) positioning

A method of transmitting a Random Access Channel (RACH) Occasion configuration to a terminal device and receiving a RACH preamble according to the RACH Occasion configuration. The RACH Occasion configuration comprises a first time resource indication identifying a first set of time resources in which the terminal device is allowed to transmit a RACH preamble according to a first random access procedure, a first frequency resource indication identifying at least a first set of frequency resources in which the terminal device is allowed to transmit the RACH preamble, a second time resource indication identifying a second set of time resources in which the terminal device is allowed to transmit a RACH preamble according to a second random access procedure, and a second frequency resource indication identifying at least a second set of frequency resources in which the terminal device is allowed to transmit the RACH preamble.

Network device, terminal device, and methods therein

A method in a wireless device is disclosed. The wireless device receives an uplink grant from a network node, the uplink grant scheduling one or more uplink transmissions by the wireless device. The wireless device selects an ON/OFF time mask to use for transmitting the one or more uplink transmissions. The wireless device determines, based on the received uplink grant, an allowed placement of a transient period of the selected ON/OFF time mask and a duration of the transient period to use for the one or more uplink transmissions.

Methods and apparatuses for determining a placement and duration of a transient period of an on/off time mask for uplink transmission

It is presented a method performed by a network node of a wireless communication network for scheduling a wireless device in uplink. An uplink signal structure is configured to be used by the wireless device and the network node, wherein the uplink signal structure defines transmission subframes divided into symbol periods. The network node applies a short Transmission Time Interval, sTTI, scheduling interval, wherein each sTTI is shorter in time than a subframe and each sTTI comprises at least one symbol period. The method comprises: transmitting a control information message to the wireless device for an sTTI scheduling interval, the control information message comprising uplink scheduling information assigned to the wireless device, the uplink scheduling information indicating a position and a length for at least one of a reference signal and data in the uplink sTTI.

Methods and apparatus for scheduling in uplink

According to some embodiments, a method in a network node comprises: determining that uplink control information, UCI, and a data payload will be sent via a physical uplink shared channel on a slot/subslot transmission; determining a modulation coding scheme, MCS, offset for transmission of the UCI via the physical uplink shared channel; and communicating the MCS offset to a wireless device. According to some embodiments, a method in a wireless device comprises: determining that UCI and a data payload will be sent via a physical uplink shared channel on a slot/subslot transmission; receiving a MCS offset for transmission of the UCI via the physical uplink shared channel; and communicating, to a network node, the UCI using the MCS offset. The UCI and the data payload may be sent via the physical uplink shared channel with a slot/subslot transmission or a short transmission time interval (sTTI).

Dynamic MCS offset for short TTI

A method may be provided to operate a wireless terminal in communication with a network node. The method may include receiving a Physical Downlink Control Channel, PDCCH, order from the network node. The PDCCH order may include an identification for a Random Access CHannel RACH occasion to be used for a RACH message 1 preamble transmission. Moreover, the identification may include a first index that indicates a set of RACH occasions and a second index that indicates the RACH occasion associated with the set. The method may also include transmitting a Message 1 preamble to the network node using the RACH occasion responsive to the PDCCH order.

Methods providing RACH occasion indication for random access procedure initiated by PDCCH order and related wireless terminals and base stations

Methods, wireless devices (WD), and network nodes are disclosed. For example, there is disclosed a network node configured to communicate with a wireless device in a cell. The network node is further configured to, and/or includes a radio interface and/or includes processing circuitry configured to communicate a timing advance offset to the wireless device for adjusting the uplink transmission relative to the downlink reception in the cell. The timing offset is based on the timing offset used by another wireless device in another cell to adjust the timing of uplink transmission relative to the downlink reception timing. Furthermore, the cells are configured to operate using TDD configurations.

Timing alignment for wireless device to wireless device measurements

The embodiments herein relate to time domain resource allocation for PUSCH transmission. In one embodiment, there proposes a method in a wireless communication device for Random Access (RA), comprising: transmitting a preamble on Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH); receiving a Random Access Response (RAR) message; transmitting, on Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), a message for terminal identification (Msg3), wherein the time resource allocation of Msg3 is different than the time resource allocation of other message to be transmitted on the PUSCH (normal PUSCH).
