The embodiments relate to a radar control device and method. Specifically, a radar control device according to the embodiments may include an antenna device comprising a non-uniform linear array (NLA) antennas spaced apart according to a predetermined ratio, a first uniform linear array (ULA) antenna generated by being spaced apart by a first interval based on the NLA antenna, and a second ULA antenna generated by being spaced apart by a second interval based on the NLA antenna, a transceiver configured to transmit a transmission signal through the antenna device and receive a reflection signal reflected from an object, and a controller configured to determine an angular power spectrum (APS) for the reflection signal and determine an angle at which the object is located based on the APS.

Radar control device and method

The disclosure relates to a radar device and a control method. Specifically, according to the disclosure, a radar device comprises a transmitter controlling to transmit a frequency-modulated transmission signal, a receiver receiving a reception signal which is the transmitted transmission signal reflected by an object, an angle estimator estimating a first angle for a position of the object, with respect to a host vehicle, during one frame, based on a result obtained by performing fast Fourier transform (FFT) on the reception signal and estimating a second angle which is a virtual angle for the position of the object during a plurality of frames, and a controller calibrating the first angle by comparing the estimated first angle and the estimated second angle.

The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a radar device including an antenna unit including a transmission antenna for transmitting a transmission signal and a receiving antenna for receiving a reception signal reflected from a target, a signal processor configured to determine target direction information by using a phase difference between the reception signals received from the respective receiving antennas, and a controller configured to control to perform a first mode and a second mode for transmitting and receiving signals at different pulse repetition intervals, respectively.

The present disclosure relates to a device and method for detecting vertical misalignment of a vehicle radar device and vehicle radar device with the same. A radar device according to an embodiment determines a monitoring range including the ground in front by using the radar signal, determines an error of vertical angles for a number of ground distances within the monitoring range, and detects the vertical mounting misalignment of the radar device by using the error. According to embodiments, it is possible to accurately determine the vertical mounting misalignment of the radar device even if there is a road surface non-uniformity, road slope, or radar beam width change.

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle radar device, a controlling method thereof, and radar system. A radar device according to an embodiment includes a transceiver being controlled to transmit the transmission signal in an operating frequency band according to a selection mode among a plurality of frequency band modes and to receive the reception signal through the receiving antenna, and a mode selector dynamically determining one of the plurality of frequency band modes as the selection mode based on at least one of a target distance to the target and a maximum detection distance for each frequency band. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the distance resolution of the radar can be optimized by dynamically varying the frequency bandwidth linked with the maximum detection distance according to a target distance under specific driving conditions.

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle radar, a vehicle radar controlling method, and a vehicle radar controlling system. Specifically, the vehicle radar includes a signal transmitter which transmits a transmission signal for detecting a target object, a signal receiver which receives a reception signal including a target signal generated by the transmission signal being reflected by the target object, and a signal processor which processes the reception signal to form a frequency spectrum of the reception signal. Specifically, the signal processor determines a window size based on the frequency spectrum of the reception signal, determines spectrum similarity between an up-chirp frequency and a down-chirp frequency based on the determined window size, and determines a length of the target object if the spectrum similarity is greater than a preset threshold value.
