A point switching device that is disposed at a diverging point on tracks on which a movable body travels is provided. This point switching device includes: a point that rotates around a support point on one end, and can move between a first position and a second position; a first coil that generates an induction field to drive the point to the first position; a second coil that generates an induction field to drive the point to the second position; and an excitation control unit that selectively supplies an intermittent exciting current to the first coil or the second coil.

A system for remote controlling a drive in accordance with data transmitted to the drive includes a data generator, for generating data, including identification information data, for distinguishing the transmitter from among a plurality of transmitters, and drive-specifying information data, for distinguishing the drive from among a plurality of drives; operation control information data, and discrimination information data; a transmitter, for transmitting the data; a receiver, for receiving the transmitted data; a data storage, for storing identification information data assigned to the drive; a first discriminator, for discriminating whether received data is operation control information data or identification information data; a second discriminator, for discriminating whether the received data is the data transmitted to the drive; a controller, for executing operation control in accordance with the operation control information data; and an identification-information changer.

Remote control system and transmitter and drive for the same

To provide a transmitter suitable for making it possible to change the identification information for a drive by using the data transmitted from a transmitter. The transmitter comprises a data generation device for alternately generating the data for controlling operations of a drive or the data for changing the identification information for the drive in accordance with an operation of a predetermined input unit performed by a user, a transmission device including a first transmission section and a second transmission section provided on positions different from each other on a casing for covering a transmitter and capable of transmitting the generated data from the transmission sections, and a transmission-section change device for changing transmission sections used for data transmission in accordance with the type of data so that the data for controlling operations of the drive is transmitted from the first transmission section and the data for changing the identification information for the drive is transmitted from the second transmission section.
