Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating control information are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a sidelink user equipment (UE) may include receiving, from a base station (BS), a configuration indicating a listen-before-talk (LBT) window, wherein the configuration indicates a start and an end associated with the LBT window, performing, during the LBT window, an LBT for a channel occupancy time (COT) in a shared radio frequency band, and transmitting, to another sidelink UE, based on the LBT being successful, one or more transport blocks (TBs) during the COT.

Channel occupancy time contention grant for sidelink communications

A communication configuration is selected based on the bandwidth used by a wireless communication device during a random access procedure (e.g., on an unlicensed band). In some scenarios, the maximum transmit power that the wireless communication device can use may be significantly restricted (e.g., by a regulation). In some cases (e.g., when the wireless communication device is near a center of a cell), the wireless communication device may transmit the random access information using a default bandwidth. In other cases (e.g., when the wireless communication device is near a cell edge), the wireless communication device may transmit the random access information using a wider bandwidth (e.g., to increase the coverage of the transmission). In some aspects, the maximum bandwidth used for the random access procedure may be used to select at least one communication configuration that is used for a subsequent communication (e.g., data or control signaling).

Communication configuration based on random access bandwidth

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for distance-based channel occupancy time (COT) sharing. In one aspect, a first device, such as a user equipment (UE), may determine an approximate distance between itself and a second device. The first device may receive a COT sharing configuration including a set of COT sharing parameters for sharing a COT of the communications link with the second device based on the distance between the two devices. The first device may determine conditions for sharing the COT based on the COT sharing configuration and the approximate distance between the two devices. Additionally, or alternatively, the first device may determine conditions for sharing the COT based on the COT sharing configuration and a power metric of communications between the two devices.

Distance-based channel occupancy time (COT) sharing

Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating ACK/NACK feedbacks for multi-user and unicast physical down-link shared channel (PDSCH) communications are provided. A UE may receive a multi-user PDSCH communication including a first transport block (TB) for the UE and may receive a unicast PDSCH communication including a second TB for the UE. The UE may determine a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook for the first TB associated with the multi-user PDSCH communication and the second TB associated with the unicast PDSCH communication. The UE may transmit a first acknowledgement/negative-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) feedback for the first TB and a second ACK/NACK feedback for the second TB based on the determined HARQ codebook.

Dynamic hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook for multi-user packet (MUP) and/or unicast communications

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) for establishing a sidelink communication channel and receive mapped channel state information-reference signals (CSI-RS) over a plurality of PSSCH resource blocks. The mapped CSI-RS may be interlaced with resource elements in at least a portion of the plurality of PSSCH resource blocks. The CSI-RS received over the plurality of PSSCH blocks is then processed to determine a channel quality of the sidelink channel from the portion of the plurality of PSSCH resource blocks including the mapped CSI-RS.

Interlaced sidelink data for communication

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive transmission configuration indication (TCI) state restriction information indicating that a TCI state associated with sub-band full-duplex (SBFD) communications is restricted for downlink communications. Transmission configuration indication state restriction for sub-band full-duplex communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, scheduling information scheduling one or more communications. The one or more communications may be scheduled over one or more of a sidelink, an uplink, or a downlink. The scheduling information may provide one or more of a transmission parameter for the one or more communications or a reception parameter for the one or more communications. The UE may communicate the one or more communications based at least in part on the one or more of the transmission parameter or the reception parameter. Numerous other aspects are described.

Unifying sidelink and UU interface downlink control information

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to identify a channel occupancy time (COT). The COT may include some slots for transmitting a sidelink message and some sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) slots for transmitting S-SSBs. In some examples, to fill a gap created by the S-SSB slots within the COT and thus maintain the COT across the S-SSB slots, the first UE or the second UE may transmit some signaling to provide transmissions in the S-SSB slots. For example, the first UE may transmit a padding signal, the second UE may transmit S-SSBs, or the UEs may use a gap control procedure. Upon filling the gap, the first UE may transmit a sidelink message to the second UE in slots of the COT excluding the S-SSB slots.

Maintaining channel occupancy time across sidelink synchronization signal block slots in unlicensed sidelink

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a first zone that includes one or more symbols at or before a scheduled common search space (CSS) and/or a second zone that includes one or more symbols at or after the scheduled CSS. The UE may monitor, or refrain from monitoring, a UE-specific search space at least partially included in the first zone, at least partially included in the second zone, or at least partially included in a combination of the first zone and the second zone. The first zone may include a first quantity of symbols and exclude a second quantity of symbols before the scheduled CSS, and the second zone may include a third quantity of symbols and exclude a fourth quantity of symbols after the scheduled CSS. Numerous other aspects are described.

Monitoring other search spaces near a common search space

A configuration to allow for the transmission of system information on different beams, where different transmission parameters may be utilized for different beams. The apparatus transmits system information on a first beam. The apparatus transmits the system information on a second beam. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may receive (e.g., from a transmitting device) one or more control messages indicating a first physical resource block (PRB) bundling size for a first set of two or more layers of a downlink shared channel and a second PRB bundling size for a second set of two or more layers of the downlink shared channel. The receiving device may receive a downlink transmission (e.g., a downlink shared channel transmission) that includes multiple codewords, such as a first codeword corresponding to the first set of two or more layers and a second codeword corresponding to the second set of two or more layers. The receiving device may receive the downlink transmission and may decode each codeword based on one or more channel estimates using the first PRB bundling size and the second PRB bundling size.

Unequal precoding resource block group sizes for multiple-codeword downlink data transmissions

Contiguous uplink transmission in contention-based access systems

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support monitoring for intra-slot and intra-slot-group control channel repetitions. The UE may receive a message indicating a respective set of parameters for a first search space set and a second search space set, an indication that the first and second search space sets are linked, and a respective bitmap for each of the search space sets, where the bitmaps include a same quantity of bits. The bitmaps may indicate a quantity of slots and a location of the slots within a group of slots in which a respective search space set exists within the group of slots. As such, the UE may monitor the first and second search space sets based on the respective sets of parameters and the respective bitmaps (e.g., using monitoring occasions associated with each search space set linked based on the bitmaps).

Control channel repetition for higher bands

A base station (BS) may cancel an uplink transmission that was previously scheduled for a user equipment (UE). For example, after scheduling a first UE for an uplink transmission on a particular resource, a BS may elect to schedule a second UE with higher priority traffic on at least a portion of that same resource.
