The user equipment (UE) may receive a first configuration indicating a first resource set corresponding to a first set of transmit beams and a second resource set corresponding to a second set of transmit beams and a second configuration indicating a third resource set. The UE may receive reference signals using the first resource set and a first set of receive beams and reference signals using the second resource set and a second set of receive beams. The UE may transmit a first report indicating a first beam pair and a second beam pair and receive a third set of reference signals using the first receive beam, the second receive beam, and the third resource set. The UE may transmit a second report comprising a parameter indicative of a correlation between the first beam pair and the second beam pair.

Beam management procedure that supports multiple input multiple output transmissions

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a transmitting device associated with one or more non-coherent demodulation reference signal ports may transmit data including a phase change estimation reference signal with multiple reference signal groups. In some examples, multiple different phase change estimation reference signal ports may be code-division multiplexed to transmit the phase change estimation reference signal in the same set of reference signal groups using a different orthogonal cover code for each phase change estimation reference signal port. In some other examples, the different phase change estimation reference signal ports may be used for transmitting the phase change estimation reference signal in the different time-division multiplexed sets of reference signal groups. In such cases, by assigning two phase change estimation reference signal ports to two TDM sets, the two phase change estimation reference signal ports may be time-division multiplexed.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a user equipment, comprising transmitting, to a network entity, a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble in a random access channel (RACH) occasion (RO) within a RACH slot, generating a random access radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI) based, at least in part, on the RO in which the PRACH was transmitted and whether a configured number of ROs exceeds the RO capacity of one or more configured RACH slots defined within a reference slot, and using the RA-RNTI to process a random access response (RAR) message transmitted from the network entity in response to the PRACH preamble.

Random access radio network temporary identifier for higher subcarrier spacing

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from an access network entity, control signaling indicating first and second search space sets. In some cases, a first set of control channel decoding candidates associated with scheduling a first component carrier may be linked for control channel repetition across the first search space set and the second search space set, and a second set of control channel decoding candidates associated with scheduling a second component carrier may not be linked for control channel repetition. The UE may identify a search space sharing condition for the first and second sets of control channel decoding candidates and monitor the first set of control channel decoding candidates, the second set of control channel decoding candidates, or both, in accordance with the search space sharing condition.

Techniques for search space sharing for control channel repetition

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A relay device operating in an unlicensed radio frequency (RF) spectrum band may receive a channel occupancy time (COT) indication from a first wireless device via a control message, a preamble sequence, or an on-off energy pattern, among other examples. Upon receiving the COT indication from the first wireless device, the relay device may perform a listen before talk (LBT) procedure. If the LBT procedure is successful, the relay device may relay signals between the first wireless device and the second wireless device. Otherwise, the relay device may refrain from relaying signals between the first wireless device and the second wireless device. The described techniques may enable the relay device to operate with greater efficiency and reduced power consumption. The described techniques may also improve the reliability of communications between the first wireless device and the second wireless device.

Techniques for smart repeater operations in unlicensed bands

An apparatus may be configured to transmit (or receive) an indication of a first DMRS, where the first DMRS is identified based on at least two of a non-linearity of a power amplifier of the first device, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) used for a data transmission associated with the first DMRS, or a channel type of a channel associated with the first DMRS; transmit (or receive), for a second device (or from a first device), the first DMRS for channel estimation at the second device; and transmit (or receive) the data transmission associated with the first DMRS.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.

Latency reduction techniques in wireless communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information identifying a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates that are to be monitored for downlink control information (DCI). The plurality of PDCCH candidates may include a PDCCH candidate having a first aggregation level and a set of linked PDCCH candidates, for repetitions of DCI, having a second aggregation level. The PDCCH candidate may overlap with one PDCCH candidate of the set of linked PDCCH candidates. The UE may communicate according to one or more rules for the PDCCH candidate overlapping with the one PDCCH candidate of the set of linked PDCCH candidates. Numerous other aspects are described.

Resolving ambiguities resulting from overlapping physical downlink control channel candidates of different aggregation levels

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second UE, an indication of at least one sidelink unified transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, wherein the at least one sidelink unified TCI state includes at least one of: a joint forward link and reverse link TCI state, a separate forward link TCI state, or a separate reverse link TCI state. The first UE may communicate with the second UE on at least one of the forward link or the reverse link based at least in part on the indication of the sidelink unified TCI state. Sidelink unified transmission configuration indicator state

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a grant for a physical uplink channel. The UE may select skipped resources that include one or more of frequency resources or time resources in the grant to skip for a communication on the physical uplink channel. The UE may transmit uplink control information (UCI) that indicates the skipped resources or non-skipped resources of the grant. The UE may transmit the communication using the non-skipped resources and not the skipped resources. Numerous other aspects are described.

Aspects provide communication methods, apparatuses and computer-readable mediums. According to an aspect, there is provided a method for wireless communication at a network entity. The method comprises: splitting a first individual message associated with a first device into at least a first common part and a first private part; splitting a second individual message associated with a second device into at least a second common part and a second private part; combining the first common part and the second common part to provide a common message; assigning a common group identifier to a group of devices comprising the first device and the second device; processing the common message, wherein the processing comprises scrambling the common message using the common group identifier; and transmitting the processed common message to the group of devices.

Data scrambling in rate-split communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink control message indicating a set of parameters for a scheduling request for the UE. The UE may then receive on a receive beam a second downlink control message, which may be a layer 1 signal, and determine uplink resources for the scheduling request and a transmission configuration indicator state for the scheduling request. The UE may transmit, to the base station, the scheduling request using the uplink resources.

Dynamic reconfiguration of uplink control channel resources for a scheduling request

Aspects of methods, computer-readable mediums, and apparatuses are provided for a user equipment (UE) or a base station. The UE receives, from a base station, an indication to transmit a scheduling request (SR). The UE receives a downlink transmission triggering hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback in one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources. The UE transmits the SR to the base station in the one or more PUCCH resources for the HARQ feedback. The base station transmits, to a UE, an indication to transmit an SR. The base station transmits a downlink transmission triggering HARQ feedback in one or more PUCCH resources. The base station receives the SR from the UE in the one or more PUCCH resources.

Network initiated polling for uplink scheduling request

Aspects presented herein may enable an entity that is receiving (or reading) reflected/backscattered signals from an IoT device to differentiate the reflected/backscattered signals from other reflections (e.g., noise or signals bounced from other objects). In one aspect, a wireless device transmits an indication of a positioning session to an IoT device, wherein the indication initiates the positioning session for the IoT device. The wireless device transmits, based on the positioning session, a set of PRSs to the IoT device via a plurality of transmission occasions. The wireless device receives, from the IoT device based on a reflection pattern, at least one PRS in the set of PRSs via at least one reception occasion.

A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a message indicating multiple control resource sets (CORESETs). Each CORESET of the multiple CORESETs comprising one or more quasi-co-location (QCL)-Type-D properties and associated with a respective physical downlink control (PDCCH) monitoring occasion of overlapping PDCCH monitoring occasions. One or more respective PDCCH candidates corresponding to the respective PDCCH monitoring occasion. The method also includes receiving, on one or more component carriers (CCs) operating on a same band, simultaneous beams comprising multiple PDCCH candidates. The method further includes monitoring a set of PDCCH candidates of the plurality of PDCCH candidates comprising a first CORESET of the multiple CORESETs comprising a first QCL-Type-D property, a second CORESET of the multiple CORESETs associated with a second QCL-Type-D property, and a set of monitoring CORESETs of the multiple CORESETs. Each of the monitoring CORESET associated with one or both of the first QCL-Type-D property or the second QCL-Type-D property based on a number of QCL-Type-D properties of a respective monitoring CORESET. In some examples, the first CORESET is a highest priority CORESET based on a set of priority rules.
