Methods of encoding and decoding for video data are described for encoding or decoding coefficients for a transform unit. In particular, the sign bits for the non-zero coefficients are encoded using sign bit hiding. Two or more sets of coefficients are defined for the transform unit and a sign bit may be hidden for each set, subject to satisfaction of a threshold test. The sets may correspond to coefficient groups that are otherwise used in multi-level significance map encoding and decoding.

Methods and devices for modified coding of blocks of residuals in the case of transform skipping. To better align the data with assumptions upon which the entropy coding scheme is based, the block of residual data is permuted at the encoder prior to entropy coding. The block of reconstructed data is then inverse permuted at the decoder to recover the reconstructed block of residuals. The permutation may include 180 rotation of the block, which may be of particular benefit in the case of intra-coded residuals.

Modified coding for transform skipping

A method for fabricating an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display is provided. The fabricating method includes: forming a switch array layer on a base substrate; forming an organic light emitting display layer on the switch array layer; forming a thin film package layer on the organic light emitting display layer; and forming a superhydrophobic thin film on the thin film package layer using plasma chemical vapor deposition. The superhydrophobic thin film has a thickness smaller than a predetermined thickness.

Methods and devices for encoding and decoding video are described that partition transform blocks into coefficient groups. The coefficients within non-zero coefficients are run-length coded in a reverse scan order within the group. Prior to coefficient coding, data is encoded indicating which coefficient group in group scan order is the last to contain a non-zero coefficient. Then data is encoded indicating the position within that last non-zero coefficient group of the last non-zero coefficient in scan order inside the coefficient group. Thus the decoder is able to decode run-length data knowing the positions of the coefficients and eliminating the need for end-of-block flags.

Transform coefficient coding for context-adaptive binary entropy coding of video

Methods and devices for encoding and decoding video using mode-dependent context determination in the case of level-run pair coding of transform coefficients are described. Intra-coding modes may be grouped into classes and each class may be associated with a partitioning of a coefficient group into regions. The region in which a coefficient falls determines, in part, the context selected for encoding bins associated with that coefficient, including a level, if the coefficient is non-zero, and a run if the coefficient correspond to the bin of a binarized run value.

Context determination for entropy coding of run-length encoded transform coefficients

An encoding method for encoding video data by adjusting a quantization parameter, the video data being partitioned into blocks comprising sets of quantized transform coefficients. The method includes, for a set of quantized transform coefficients corresponding to one of the blocks, collecting statistics, wherein the statistics comprise the number of quantized transform coefficients and the sum of the non-rounded quantization value of the quantized transform coefficients in the set. The method also includes deriving a step size based on the statistics, mapping the derived step size to a closest quantization parameter value, and quantizing a next block using the mapped quantization parameter value.

Methods and devices for data compression using a non-uniform reconstruction space

Methods and devices are described for entropy coding data using an entropy coder to encode quantized transform domain coefficient data. Last significant coefficient information is signaled in the bitstream using two-dimensional coordinates for the last significant coefficient. The context for bins of one of the coordinates is based, in part, upon the value of the other of the coordinates. In one case, instead of signaling last significant coefficient information, the number of non-zero coefficients is binarized and entropy encoded.

Methods and devices for reconstructing coefficient levels from a bitstream of encoded video data for a coefficient group in a transform unit. Sign bits are hidden in the parity of partially overlapping subsets of a set of coefficients. This enables the hiding of multiple sign bits per coefficient group. Other information bits may be hidden instead of sign bits in some cases.

By implementing a method for manufacturing such mineralized collagen-based femoral head support device, the mineralized collagen-based femoral head support device with mechanical properties equivalent to human cortical bone can be manufactured; and the mineralized collagen-based femoral head support device can meet the demand for clinical treatment of early osteonecrosis of femoral head to avoid the continuous collapse of necrotic femoral head.
