The systems and methods discussed herein utilized a wireless or wired transceiver having a transmitter and a receiver. The transceiver is configured to reduce distortion contributions associated with echo cancelling. The transmitter provides a replica signal and a transmit signal. The replica signal and the transmit signal can be provided using a common switch.

A scaled voltage supply to supply voltage biases to circuits in voltage zones. The scaled voltage supply includes a master voltage corresponding to a voltage drop across a master-upper rail having a voltage Vand a master-lower rail having a voltage V=0. Further, the supply includes a voltage-divider network dividing the master voltage Vinto intermediate voltages &#x3b1;V, &#x3b2;V, etc., wherein &#x3b1; and &#x3b2; are predetermined constants. These intermediate voltages scale with the master voltage and are supplied to the voltage zones using non-invasive soft rails. In one implementation the soft rails use voltage mirrors to supply the intermediate voltages to the circuits within voltage zones.

Aspects of rail-to-rail line drivers using differential cascode bootstrapping are described. In one embodiment, a differential line driver includes first and second differential driver output legs. The first output leg includes a first p-type cascode stack and a first n-type cascode stack, and the second output leg includes a second p-type cascode stack and a second n-type cascode stack. The differential line driver also includes a differential cascode bootstrap circuit arrangement coupled to an output of the differential line driver. More particularly, the differential cascode bootstrap circuit arrangement is coupled between the first and second differential output driver legs and the output of the differential line driver. According to aspects of the embodiments described herein, differential line drivers with overvoltage protection and rail-to-rail output swings may be achieved. Further, the differential line drivers may be generally smaller, with cascode stack transistors of reduced in size.

A USB controller is provided with multiple logic channels that share same physical address and data bus at an interface between the host system and the USB Host Controller; and dataports used by the host system to read and/or write data to the USB Host Controller. Also provided is a data packet format for transferring data, which comprises of an Endpoint Transfer Descriptor ('ETD') that includes an EndPoint Descriptor and a Transfer Descriptor, wherein the host system programs the parameters of a communication channel for a particular Endpoint. Also included is a technique for partitioning a memory storage device into a first memory buffer and a second memory buffer; wherein the size of the first and second memory buffer may be programmed by the host system and the first and/or second memory buffer may contain more than one USB packet.

System and method for USB controllers

This invention is a USB host comprising a first processor implementing a function of a USB system and presenting a high-level pipe view of USB to a second processor. In one embodiment of this invention, first processor and the second processor communicate through a data communication memory (DCM) which can be accessed by both the first processor and the second processor, using a plural of predefined transfer record formats. From the second processor's point of view, a USB transfer becomes reading from and writing to the DCM with predefined record formats which can be done by filling templates.
