An embedded-damper speaker for an information handling system includes a top speaker housing, a bottom speaker housing, and a damper. The bottom speaker housing is in physical communication with the top speaker housing. The damper is secured in between the top and bottom speaker housings. The damper reduces acoustic resonance between the embedded-damper speaker and the information handling system.

An information handling system housing includes an interior frame that integrates removeable slot adapters and a garage to hold the slot adapters once separate from the frame. In one example embodiment, a slot adapter has plural support structures and screw openings with an offset bottom surface alignment pin so that insertion into openings in different device slots will support different types of devices, such as solid state drives (SSDs) and wireless network interface controllers.

A variable holder module secures a variety of different expansion cards that may be installed within a computer or other information handling system. The holder module has a multi-sided component that is orientable according to which expansion card is to be secured within the computer. Each side of the component may thus correspond to a different one of the expansion cards. Once the expansion card is determined, a human or robotic picker need only orient component to the side that corresponds to the make/model of the expansion card. The holder module is thus adaptable to secure many different expansion cards that may be installed within the computer.

An information handling system storage bay accepts 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch storage drives held in a storage drive carrier sized to hold 3.5 inch storage drives and having an adapter that couples to the storage drive carrier to adapt it to hold 2.5 inch drives. The storage drive carrier is manufactured as a contiguous piece from a mold with hard plastic to integrate the adapter so that the adapter breaks free to couple to the storage drive carrier when a small size drive is to be held. Snaps in the contiguous piece couple with the adapter after the adapter is broken free to store the adapter when a larger sized drive is held by the storage drive carrier.

A method for assembling an information handling system display may include attaching a first side of a strip of double-sided tape to a display panel cover. A display panel may then be aligned with the display panel cover, and, when aligned, the display panel may be in contact with a release paper attached to a second side of the double-sided tape. The release paper may then be removed from the double-sided tape while the display panel is in contact with the release paper. A first surface of the display panel may be attached to the second side of the double-sided tape as the release paper is removed.

Clickpad structures may be attached to surfaces of an information handling system using material stacks comprising an elastic material, such as a sponge, which can preload a force on the clickpad surface. The preloaded force reduces a gap between the clickpad switch and contact point, which reduces instability, rattling, and other negative experiences with the clickpad surface experienced by a user. According to an embodiment, an input device for an information handling system includes a clickpad surface having a first side configured to receive user input and a second side opposite the first side; a first coupling stack comprising a first elastic material with a first thickness; and a second coupling stack comprising a second elastic material with a second thickness, wherein each of the coupling stacks is attached to the clickpad surface and a surface of the information handling system by adhesives.

An information handling system display removably couples to a housing with a sliding structure of the display that engages a coupling structure disposed at opposing sides of the housing. For example, the sliding structure is a member that aligns under a lip formed in the coupling structure. In one embodiment, the sliding structure comprises plural pins extending from opposing sides of the display to enter channels at the side of the housing that direct the pins under a lip at the base of the channel.

A slide switch for constraining a movement of a unit relative to a casing is disclosed in the present invention. The slide switch includes a buckling component, a constraining component and a latch. The buckling component includes a connection portion and an inclined structure. The constraining component includes a block portion and a guide portion. The latch includes a body, a hook portion disposed on the body, a first guide structure disposed on a top of the hook portion, and a contact portion disposed on the body. The hook portion is engaged with the connection portion to constrain the movement of a first unit. The first guide structure pushes the inclined structure to separate the first unit from the casing. The contact portion contacts the block portion to constrain the movement of a second unit, and slides relative to the guide portion to separate the second unit from the casing.

A switch mechanism includes a sliding track disposed inside a host module, and a sliding component. An end of the sliding component is pivotally connected to a display module and the other end of the sliding component is slidably installed inside the sliding track. The sliding component slides in a first direction relative to the sliding track while the display module pivots in a first rotary direction relative to the host module. The switch mechanism further includes an activation component for moving to a first position corresponding to a first switch component to activate a first switch component while the sliding component slides in the first direction.

A vibration-isolating screw is disclosed. The vibration-isolating screw includes a screw head and a screw tail portion. The screw head includes a first screw body, a first magnetic element, a second screw body, a second magnetic element, a third screw body and a third magnetic element. The first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are mounted on the first screw body and the second screw body, respectively. The third screw body is mounted between the first screw body and the second screw body. The third magnetic element comprises a first end and a second end and is mounted on the third screw body. The first end and the first magnetic element are adjacent and mutual repulsion. The second end and the second magnetic element are adjacent and mutual repulsion. The screw tail portion is connected with the second screw body.

A portable electronic apparatus includes a first body, a rotating structure, a supporting element, and a second body. The first body includes an upper surface. The rotating structure combines with the first body and rotates relative to the first body around a first axis which is substantially perpendicular to the upper surface. The supporting element combines with the rotating structure and rotates relative to the rotating structure around a second axis which is substantially parallel to the upper surface. The supporting element includes a main structure and at least one sliding portion disposed at the main structure. The second body includes at least one corresponding sliding portion disposed corresponding to the at least one sliding portion. The second body movably combines with each sliding portion of the supporting element through each of the corresponding sliding portions, such that the second body slides relative to the supporting element.

A battery pack with massage function includes a case, a battery cell, an electrical connector, a switch, a moving body, and an electrical actuator assembly. The case has an accommodation space and a through hole communicating the accommodation space. The battery cell is disposed in the accommodation space. The electrical connector is disposed on a surface of the case and is electrically connected to the battery cell. The electrical connector is used for connecting with an electrical receiver of an electronic device for supplying electrical power from the battery cell to the electronic device. The switch is electrically connected to the battery cell to be selectively switched to a close-circuit-state or an open-circuit-state. The moving body is capable of moving reciprocally via the through hole. The electrical actuator assembly is connected to the battery pack via the switch to generate a driving force to move the moving body reciprocally.
