A SRLTE/Hybrid CDMA management system is provided to facilitate the prioritization and management of shared RF resources among the different SIMs and RATs in a multimode device. The described techniques address a shared single RF resource usage problem in multi-SIM and multimode 3GPP2/3GPP devices that implement an SRLTE or Hybrid CDMA mode in one or more SIMs. Thus, the techniques enable the RATs within an SRLTE or Hybrid CDMA system, and RATs across multiple SIMs, to access a single set of RF resources using a priority access scheme that prioritizes RATs for both packet service (PS) and circuit service (CS).

Multimode device priority access management

Mobile communication devices and integrated circuits thereof are provided. The mobile communication device, communicating with a packet switched network and a second network, includes a transceiver, a first PLL circuit and a controller. When exchanging an ongoing data transmission with the packet switched network, the transceiver transmits a first message to the packet switched network, which indicates the mobile communication device will be tuned away from the packet switched network, and performs a subsequent procedure for the second network. The first PLL circuit provides a first clock to the transceiver. When the ongoing data transmission with the packet switched network is not completed, the controller controls the first PLL circuit to switch the first clock from a first clock frequency to a second clock frequency after the transceiver transmits the first indication message.

Determining and simultaneously using a circuit for a mobile device couple to a base station, the circuit may comprise an identification signal detector for receiving a first identification signal corresponding to a first module and a second identification signal corresponding to a second module in the mobile device. The circuit may comprise a receiver for receiving a plurality of signals from the base station; said plurality of signals is configured to set up communication between the mobile device and the base station. The circuit may comprise a calculator for calculating a plurality of parameters in response to the first identification signal, second identification signal and said plurality of signals received from said base station. The circuit may also comprise a processor for attaching the first and second module to the base station simultaneously in response to a plurality of slots by time multiplexing and the plurality of parameters.

Quick paging channel detection with signal to noise ratio dependent thresholds

A wireless access terminal is configured to enter into a freeze state where the wireless access terminal temporarily stops decoding and receiving data for a first access network, when the wireless access terminal's modem tunes away from the first access network to monitor signals from a second access network. When the modem tunes back, the wireless access terminal continues processing signals from the first access network without re-initializing with the first access network. When the terminal enters the freeze state, state variables for the terminal's various protocols, including layer 1, layer 2, and modem controller protocols can be stored so that the protocols can continue processing when the modem tunes back, without the need to reinitialize.

Systems and methods for wireless access terminal command processing

A method and system is disclosed for detecting paging indicators using a multi-stage and multi-threshold detection mechanism so that a mobile terminal can be removed from an idle mode appropriately. After receiving a first paging indicator, it is determined whether a first indicator measurement corresponding to the first paging indicator is between a first and a second predetermined thresholds. After receiving a second paging indicator which may be a temporal diversity counterpart of the first paging indicator, a second indicator measurement derived based on both the first and second paging indicators is compared against a third predetermined threshold, wherein the mobile terminal is removed from the idle mode when both comparisons are appropriately conducted.
