A cell includes a first current collector and a second current collector. A tail end of the first current collector exceeds a tail end of the second current collector by at least half a circle in a winding direction. The tail end of the first current collector does not include an active material and is bonded on an outer peripheral surface of an outermost circle of the first current collector by a first adhesive, the first adhesive is a double-sided tape or a hot melt adhesive. The cell is bonded with another double-sided tape or another hot melt adhesive on a side opposite from the tail end of the first current collector.

The present application relates to an electrode assembly and a secondary battery. The electrode assembly includes a cell and a protective layer. The cell includes a cell body and an electrode tab protruding from a top surface of the cell body. In a length direction of the cell, at least one end of the protective layer extends beyond the height at which the anode electrode in the cell body protrudes at the end, and the extended dimension is no more than 3 mm. As such, the burr of the anode electrode of the cell body is wrapped by the protective layer, which alleviates the phenomenon that the burr on the anode electrode pierces the package bag and chemically reacts with the aluminum layer of the package bag, thereby reducing the risk of leakage of the package bag.

The present application provides a lithium ion battery and a negative electrode thereof. The negative electrode comprises: a negative electrode active material layer and an additive comprising a metal sulfide, wherein the additive is distributed in the negative electrode active material layer, distributed on the surface of the negative electrode active material layer, or both in the negative electrode active material layer and on the surface of the negative electrode active material layer. The negative electrode of the present application may effectively improve the performance of the lithium ion battery, and greatly improve the capacity and cycle performance of the lithium ion battery.

The first segment is arranged between the second segment and the electrode assembly, and the second segment includes a multilayer package films.
