Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and perform a filtering procedure on frequency-domain symbols of the DMRS to obtain a frequency-domain noise signal associated with the frequency-domain symbols. The UE may perform a spur detection procedure on the frequency-domain noise signal to detect one or more frequency spurs associated with the frequency-domain symbols. In addition, the UE may estimate a frequency of the frequency spurs. In some implementations, the UE may transmit information indicating spur parameters associated with the frequency spurs (e.g., including the estimated frequency) to a network entity. The UE may receive a control message indicating a rate matching pattern for subsequent communications, the rate matching pattern based on the spur parameters. The UE and the network entity may communicate according to the rate matching pattern.

Spur detection, estimation, and mitigation

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for transmissions with non-transparent precoder cycling. A network node generates a precoding matrix including a number of sub-matrices equal to a number of antenna groups. A first sub-matrix for a first antenna group is the same for each frequency domain resource unit of a frequency domain resource group. A phase of each subsequent sub-matrix for each subsequent antenna group is shifted to be orthogonal for each frequency domain resource unit. The network node applies the precoding matrix to both a data signal and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of a transmission for each frequency domain resource unit of the frequency domain resource group and transmits the precoded transmission via the antenna groups. A UE receives the transmission having non-transparent precoder cycling, estimates a channel of the transmission based on the precoding matrix, and demodulates the data signal based on the estimated channel.

RB/PRG-level precoder cycling based on virtual DMRS ports

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of an antenna port mapping from a network entity. The antenna port mapping may be between a tracking reference signal and a corresponding reference signal, the antenna port mapping indicating a mapping of a tracking reference signal port to a plurality of reference signal antenna ports associated with the corresponding reference signal. The UE may receive a tracking reference signal via the tracking reference signal port based on the antenna port mapping. The UE may perform a channel measurement procedure using the tracking reference signal based on the mapping.

Port association with multiple demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports

Techniques described herein provide for formulating single carrier waveforms into an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) framework. To fit into the cyclic prefix OFDM (CP-OFDM) grid, a frequency domain fast Fourier transform (FFT) may be applied to the single carrier waveform, a bandwidth expansion and spectrum shaping may be applied to the output of the FFT and inverse FFT (IFFT) processing may be applied to the output of the bandwidth expansion and spectrum shaping. The output of the IFFT may then be represented in an OFDM compatible manner.

Techniques for cyclic prefix compatible formulation of single carrier waveforms

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured with a bundling factor, may first generate a codebook, and may then bundle a quantity of bits into a single bit according to the bundling factor (e.g., may compress the sequence of bits into a smaller, second set of bits, where each bit of the second set of bits represents a quantity of the sequence of bits equal to the bundling factor). The UE may support cross downlink control information (DCI) bundling, in which case each bundle of the sequence of bits may be based on the bundling factor, instead of being based on the DCI (e.g., a given bundle may include feedback bits corresponding to occasions of multiple grants).

Feedback codebooks with bundling

A transmitter is provided that shapes uniformly-distributed bits into a non-uniformly distributed bits according to a parity check matrix of a linear code such that a product of the parity check matrix and the non-uniformly distributed bits equals the uniformly-distributed bits. Similarly, receiver is provided that recovers the uniformly-distributed bits from the non-uniformly distributed bits through a multiplication of the non-uniformly-distributed bits with the parity check matrix.

Linear-code-based probabilistic shaping

A user equipment (UE) may receive, using a set of resources that are shared between a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT, control signaling that includes a dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) configuration for a shared data channel. The UE may receive one or more indicators associated with the first RAT, the second RAT, or both, to coordinate communications for the shared set of resources. The UE may communicate with the network using the first RAT or the second RAT based on applying one or more of the indicators. To further support DSS, the UE may transmit UE capability information to indicate whether the UE is capable of DSS for the first RAT and the second RAT, and may apply one or more multiplexing modes for communications using the first RAT and the second RAT.

Techniques for dynamic spectrum sharing across radio access technologies

Disclosed are techniques for wireless sensing. In an aspect, a network node detects a collision between at least one wireless communication signal scheduled to be transmitted by the network node and two or more bundled radar reference signals scheduled to be transmitted by the network node, wherein the at least one wireless communication signal is scheduled to be transmitted during a gap between a first radar reference signal and a second radar reference signal of the two or more bundled radar reference signals; performs a collision avoidance operation based on detection of the collision, and transmits the two or more bundled radar reference signals.

Handling collisions between bundled radar reference signals and communication signals in wireless communications systems

In some aspects, a first device may receive, from a second device, multiple code blocks (CBs) of a transport block. A transmitting device may perform a lifting procedure on a base graph including multiple variable nodes and multiple check nodes to obtain a lifted graph. The lifting procedure may include replacing each edge between multiple variable nodes and multiple check nodes of the base graph with a respective identity matrices with respective circular shift values. The base graph may include a punctured variable node which corresponds to each of one or more check nodes of the plurality of check nodes via multiple edges. The transmitting device may encode multiple information nodes and multiple parity nodes according to the lifted graph. The transmitting device may transmit a signal including multiple information bits and multiple parity bits based on encoding the multiple information nodes and the multiple parity nodes.

Fast converging low-density parity-check techniques

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a transmitting device, such as a user equipment (UE) or a network entity, may encode an information bit vector into multiple code blocks using a polar code partitioned into multiple sub-blocks having a same block length in accordance with a polar transformation associated with a modulation scheme. In some examples, each code block of the multiple code blocks may be encoded using a respective sub-block of the multiple sub-blocks. Additionally, the transmitting device may interleave respective bits of each code block of the multiple code blocks using a respective interleaver of multiple interleavers. As such, the transmitting device may transmit the respective interleaved bits of each code block of the multiple code blocks over a respective bit channel of multiple bit channels, where each bit channel of the multiple bit channels is associated with a respective reliability.

Polar coding techniques for higher-order modulation schemes

In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may utilize multi-port mobility reference signals to assist with spatial based mobility procedures. The UE may receive a reference signal that is associated with multiple antenna ports. The UE may measure a multi-dimensional channel response based on the reference signal. The multi-dimensional channel response may be associated with measured channel metrics corresponding to the multiple antenna ports. The UE may transmit a report that includes a channel measurement vector based on the multi-dimensional channel response. The channel measurement vector may indicate multiple measured channel metrics for one or more dimensions of the multi-dimensional channel response. The network entity may transmit a message that indicates one or more metrics associated with mobility management for the UE based on the report that indicates the channel measurement vector.

Spatial metric based mobility procedures using multi-port mobility reference signals

In some aspects, a user equipment may determine a transmission power for an uplink shared channel communication based at least in part on at least one of a code rate parameter, a block length parameter, or a target block error rate parameter associated with the uplink shared channel communication. In one example, a base station may configure resources for HARQ feedback transmissions such that the resources are exclusive of each other to avoid collisions between HARQ feedback transmissions. In another example, a base station may indicate resources for a user equipment (UE) to use for HARQ feedback transmissions such that the resources are exclusive of each other to avoid collisions between HARQ feedback transmissions.
