A method and a scoring node for estimating a user's Quality of Experience, QoE, when a service is delivered in a media stream to the user by means of a communication network. Quality-related parameters pertaining to the service delivery are extracted, and an individual opinion score is determined for each of a set of quality models by applying each respective quality model in the set on the quality-related parameters. An aggregated opinion score is then determined as a weighted average of the individual opinion scores. The aggregated opinion score can then be used as an estimation of the user's QoE for the service delivery, e.g. when evaluating the service and/or the communication network.

Method and scoring node for estimating a user's quality of experience for a delivered service

Methods, a wireless device (), a radio network node () and a core network node () for reservation of bandwidth are disclosed. The wireless device () sends (A), to the core network node (), an inquiry for reservation of bandwidth. The inquiry comprises information about a route to be travelled by the wireless device (), a start time, and an indication about the bandwidth to be reserved. Methods, wireless device and nodes for managing reservation of bandwidth

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) wirelessly connected to a wireless communication network for facilitating transmission of a real-time media flow from a sender towards the UE is described. The method includes sending a request to the network, requesting a packet loss prediction and a throughput prediction for transmission of a real-time media flow from the network towards the UE. The method also includes receiving, from the network, information of a predicted UE throughput and a predicted UE packet loss predicted by the network in response to the sent request. In some embodiments, the method also includes sending the received information to a sender of the real-time media flow to the UE.

Methods, system and user equipment of a wireless communication network for determining transmission conditions for a real-time media flow

Mechanisms for predicting a multimedia session MOS are provided. The multimedia session has a video session and an audio session. The video quality and the audio quality are represented by vectors of per-time-unit scores of video quality and audio quality, respectively. The multimedia session is represented by a vector of the rebuffering start times of each rebuffering event, and a vector of the rebuffering durations of each rebuffering event. Audiovisual quality features are generated from the vectors of per-time-unit scores of video and audio quality. Buffering features are generated from the vector of rebuffering start times of each rebuffering event and the vector of rebuffering durations of each rebuffering event. A multimedia session MOS is then estimated based on the generated audiovisual quality features and the generated buffering features.

Quality estimation of adaptive multimedia streaming

A method and a wireless device () for handling transmission of data. The cost for transmitting the data from the wireless device () can be reduced or even minimized by delaying () transmission until the transmission cost becomes lower, provided that the data can wait without becoming obsolete or useless at the receiving side. This is made possible by determining a delay tolerance of the data and determining a cost prediction for transmission () within said delay tolerance, e.g. when a cheaper connection () is used. Advantages may include reduced price to pay for the transmission, less energy consumption, and avoided usage of precious radio resources and network resources at times when the traffic load is high.

One method includes obtaining a first profile of media event data over a first time period, where the first profile is a first distribution of different media event sequences. Methods and devices for maintaining a device-operated function. A first device initially operates as an active master with responsibility to execute the device-operated function by automatically performing one or more operation tasks according to certain operational parameters and gaining knowledge when performing the operation tasks. Meanwhile, a second device is acting as a passive standby device. When the first device cannot or should not operate as the active master anymore, e.g. due to low battery, the responsibility is transferred to the second device by transferring the operational parameters and the knowledge from the first device to the second device. Then, the second device operates as the active master with responsibility to execute the device-operated function according to the operational parameters and using the knowledge if required.

It is provided a method, performed by a MOS, Mean Opinion Score, estimator, for predicting a multimedia session MOS. The multimedia comprises a video and an audio, wherein video quality is represented by a list of per time unit scores of a video quality, an initial buffering event and rebuffering events in the video, and wherein audio quality is represented by a list of per time unit scores of audio quality. The present invention relates to methods and devices for supporting a transfer process of data in wireless communication networks. The transfer process comprises a decision step to relay data based on a comparison between a first data device's requirements on delivery time and a second device's estimate on the next time for obtaining network connectivity.
