Systems and methods which provide single nanostructure-integrated metalens configurations implementing projector and light shaper functionality are described. A single nanostructure-integrated metalens may comprise an optical substrate having a preconfigured mapping of integrated nanostructures providing metasurfaces for modulating the behaviors of electromagnetic waves to implement a thin, flat lens. A period distance for the nanostructures, a height of the nanostructures, and a quantization for lateral sizes of the nanostructures may be selected for a particular single nanostructure-integrated metalens configuration. A first phase map may be computed with respect to structured light generation and a second phase map may be computed with respect to light collimation, wherein fusion of these phase maps may be used to define a preconfigured mapping for the nanostructures of a single nanostructure-integrated metalens implementation. The phase distribution of the first phase map may be inverse designed, such as using an inverse phase design technique.

Single nanostructure-integrated metalens

A line-scanning three-dimensional sensing system measures a surface profile of an object. In the system, a dispersion optical module (DOM) performs a forward optical process of chromatically dispersing a polychromatic linear light beam into constituent narrowband linear light beams (CNLLBs) and focusing the CNLLBs on different focal planes to form a rainbow light pattern for illuminating a scanned surface of the object. The illuminated object displays an information-bearing color image (IBCI) containing height information of the scanned surface. The DOM captures the IBCI, and performs a backward optical process of optically condensing the captured IBCI to form an elongated light pattern. The backward optical process is an inverse of the forward one. A slit spatially filters the elongated light pattern to form an output light line. A height profile of the scanned surface is obtained by analyzing a spectral content at each point of the output light line.

Line-scanning three-dimensional sensing system

A display inspection system for inspecting a light beam emitted from a panel with pixels positioned at several focal planes is provided. The display inspection system includes a focus tunable lens adjustable in a focal distance for focusing at the panel, a first sensing unit for receiving the light beam, a reduced aberration optical system arranged between the focus tunable lens and the first sensing unit for focusing at the first sensing unit, and one or more optical elements placed within a back focal length of the reduced aberration optical system. The reduced aberration optical system comprises a first serial cascade lens group of a first aplanatic lens and a first doublet lens for correcting an optical aberration. The first aplanatic lens and the first doublet lens are co-configured that the back focal length is extended in a manner that the light beam is incident to the first sensing unit.

Flexible display inspection system

A kind of optical lens, comprising a reflective surface and a light exit surface; wherein, in a circle with the central position of the said reflective surface as its center, at least a light distribution camber and a reflective camber are set up along the radius direction of the said reflective surface; in a circle with the central position of the said light exit surface as its center, at least a Fresnel annular surface and a surface are set up along the radius direction of the said light exit surface; the said light distribution camber is used for refracting the light incident on the said reflective surface to the said Fresnel annular surface and the said surface; the said reflective camber is used for reflecting the light incident on the said reflective camber to the said surface in collimation; the said Fresnel annular surface is used for reflecting the light incident on the said Fresnel annular surface through the said light distribution camber from the said light exit surface in collimation; the said surface is used for wholly reflecting the incident light through the said light distribution camber to the said reflective camber and for reflecting incident light through the said reflective camber from the said light exit surface in collimation.
