A vehicle lamp that achieves a slim design while forming an optimal beam pattern generates a beam pattern using a plurality of lamp modules. The plurality of lamp modules are arranged in one direction, and each of the plurality of lamp modules includes a light source that generate light; an optical guide unit, which guides incident light from the light source to be emitted forward; and an optical lens, which transmits the incident light from the optical guide unit therethrough to allow the beam pattern to be generated.

A lamp module includes a light source unit that generates light; and a light guide unit that emits at least a portion of the light incident from the light source unit to generate a beam pattern. The light guide unit comprises a light incident portion configured to receive at least a portion of the light incident from the light source unit; a light emitting portion configured to emit at least a portion of the light incident through the light incident portion; and a transmission portion disposed between the light incident portion and the light emitting portion and configured to transmit at least a portion of the light incident through the light incident portion to the light emitting portion. The transmission portion comprises a shield portion including an edge portion formed along a rear focal plane of the light emitting portion and configured to obstruct a portion of the light.

A slim type lamp apparatus of a vehicle may include a light source for radiating light; and a lens portion including an incident portion through which the light radiated by the light source is incident, a reflection portion extending from the incident portion to reflect and move the incident light, and an emission portion extending from the reflection portion and emitting the light reflected by the reflection portion, the reflection portion diffusing some light upon reflection of the light to form a diffusion beam pattern by the emission portion and condensing other light upon reflection to form a condensing beam pattern by the emission portion.

A lamp for a vehicle includes a light source unit for emitting light; a lens unit for irradiating the light emitted from the light source unit to exterior; and a shield disposed between the light source unit and the lens unit. A guide lamp for a vehicle is provided that guides nearby vehicles or pedestrians as to the path of a vehicle. The guide lamp includes a sensing unit that is configured to sense a path change attempt of the vehicle and a lamp unit that is configured to generate a road beam pattern indicating a direction toward the path change of the vehicle. The lamp unit includes one or more light sources and a light emitter that is configured to generate the road beam pattern by emitting light generated by the light sources in two or more different directions.

A lamp for a vehicle that radiates a beam pattern to a vehicle front side is provided. The lamp for a vehicle includes at least one light source and a lens configured to radiate a low beam to a front side of the vehicle through refraction of light emitted from the at least one light source. The lens includes a light incident portion that light emitted from the light source is incident and a light exit portion from that refracts and exits the light. The light exit portion includes a plurality of facets formed to have independent curvatures to refract the light from the light source and to form a beam pattern of the low beam. The portions of the plurality of facets are inclined with respect to a virtual vertical line having at least portions of boundary lines formed between the inclined facets and the neighboring facets.
