A multiple variable valve lift apparatus may include a moving cam formed of a hollow cylindrical shape, configured to be moveable in an axial direction of a camshaft while being rotated with the camshaft, and forming a plurality of cams implementing a cam guide protrusion device and different valve lifts from each other; an operation device selectively guiding a cam guide protrusion device to move the moving cam in the axial direction of the camshaft; a controller configured for controlling an operation of the operation device; a valve opening/closing device in contact with any one cam among the plurality of cams; a plurality of stopper grooves formed at an external circumference of the camshaft; and a stopper device provided at the moving cam and inserted to the stopper groove to be rotated at a position after the moving cam is moved.

A cooling system of an engine may include a cylinder liner formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and pressed against an inside of a cylinder of the engine, a block coolant jacket positioned in an outer side of the cylinder liner in a radial direction to cool a cylinder block, the cylinder block provided with the cylinder liner and the block coolant jacket therein, and a cylinder head engaged on the cylinder block, including an exhaust port and an intake port fluidically-communicated with a combustion chamber and respectively formed at an exhaust side and an intake side, and provided with a head coolant jacket inside, in which the block coolant jacket includes an upper coolant jacket and a lower coolant jacket and a division wall is disposed between the upper coolant jacket and the lower coolant jacket to block fluid flow therebetween.

A variable turbocharger including a turbine housing, a first scroll fluidly communicating with a turbine, a second scroll formed along an outside of the first scroll, wherein the first scroll and the second scroll are disposed within the turbine housing for exhaust gas to exhaust through the turbine, a partitioning unit for selectively separating the first scroll and the second scroll, and a a flux control valve disposed at the exhaust gas inflow portion and selectively coupled to the partitioning unit for blocking the exhaust gas from flowing into the second scroll. The variable turbocharger may prevent turbo lag at a low speed and be highly efficient at a high speed.

Variable turbocharger and control method for the same

A variable turbocharger including a turbine housing, a first scroll fluidly communicating with a turbine, a second scroll formed along an outside of the first scroll, wherein the first scroll and the second scroll are disposed within the turbine housing for exhaust gas to exhaust through the turbine, a partitioning unit for selectively separating the first scroll and the second scroll, and a flux control valve disposed at the exhaust gas inflow portion and selectively coupled to the partitioning unit for blocking the exhaust gas from flowing into the second scroll. An engine in which an exhaust manifold is integrally formed with a cylinder head may include the exhaust manifold in which at least one passage, which is connected to at least one exhaust port disposed in a first cylinder, and at least one passage, which is connected to at least one exhaust port disposed in a second cylinder, are formed, wherein the passage at the first cylinder and the passage at the second cylinder join together to communicate with a first single exhaust outlet.

Integrally formed engine exhaust manifold and cylinder head

An engine includes exhaust manifold integrally formed with a cylinder head. The engine may include an exhaust manifold having at least one single exhaust outlet for exhausting exhaust gas that is exhausted from at least two cylinders that are not adjacent with each other, wherein periods during which exhaust valves are open are not overlapped with each other between the at least two cylinders. The exhaust manifold is integrally formed with the cylinder head such that costs can be reduced. Also, the water jacket is formed between the exhaust passages of the exhaust manifold such that the durability of the turbocharger that is affected by a heat load can be improved. Also, the twin scroll turbocharger is directly connected to the exhaust outlet of the manifold such that the compression ratio of the intake air can be effectively improved. Further, the exhaust passages at which pulsation interference occurs with each other are separately disposed and the exhaust passages at which pulsation interference does not occur are combined together to form a single passage such that the torque is improved at low rpm and the remaining gas is effectively scavenged.
