A contact detection device includes a number of first bars and second bars. Each first bar includes a number of first sheets. Each second bar includes a number of second sheets. The first bars and the second bars intersect to form a grid with a number of nodes as a contact detection area, each node having exclusive coordinates. Each first sheet defines a light hole, and the light holes are arranged in the same column line in the grid. Opposite sides of each first sheet arranges one photosensitive member above the corresponding light hole, and position of each photosensitive member is determined according to the coordinates of the nearest node in a predetermined direction. Opposite ends of each two adjacent second bars respectively arrange one light emitter therebetween. When one point of the grid is pressed, the light emitted by the light emitter irradiates the photosensitive member.

Contact detection device

A connecting mechanism includes a first connecting member, a second connecting member, a first conduit and a second conduit. The first connecting member includes a first cylinder and a first piston movably accommodated within the first cylinder to divide the first cylinder into a first space on the one side of the first piston and a second space on the opposite side of the first piston. The second connecting member includes a second cylinder and a second piston movable accommodated within the second cylinder to divide the second cylinder into a third space on the one side of the second piston and a fourth space on the opposite side of the second piston. The first conduit communicates the first space with the third space. The second conduit communicates the second space with the fourth space. An electronic device using the connecting mechanism is also provided.

Connecting mechanism and electronic device using the same

An exemplary foldable device includes a main body, a cover coupling a display unit, and a hinge mechanism rotatably connecting the cover to the main body. The main body includes a first connecting rod defining a first connecting hole and a second connecting rod defining a second connecting hole. The hinge mechanism includes two support plates, a rotary member, and a rotary shaft. The two support plates are fixed to the first connecting rod. The rotary member is rotatably positioned between the two support plates and defines a through hole. The rotary shaft includes a first end that extends through the through hole of the rotary member and can be fitted into the first connecting hole or the second connecting hole, and an opposite second end fixed to the cover. Thus the cover can be rotated about the first connecting rod or the second connecting rod.

Foldable device

An input inducing device is provided. The input inducing device includes a winding, a current sensor, and a processing unit. Two ends of the winding are connected to the current sensor and form a closed-loop with the current sensor. When a magnetic object moves towards the winding, the winding cuts magnetic induction lines of the magnetic object to generate an induced current, the current sensor senses the induced current and generates a sensing signal according to the sensed induced current. The sensing signal is transmitted to the processing unit, which then implements a predetermined function according to the sensing signal.

Input inducing device and inducing keyboard

A hinge for rotatably connecting a lid to a base includes a first fixing member for being fixed to the lid, a second fixing member for being fixed to the base, a hollow member, and an axle member. The hollow member defines a chamber having a lateral surface. A protrusion protrudes from the lateral surface. The axle member includes a protruding wall received in the chamber, a first end and a second end extending out of the chamber, the first end is fixed to the first fixing member. The second end is rotatably connected to the second fixing member. The protruding wall cooperates with the protrusion to divide the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber.

Hinge and foldable computing device using the same

A monitor includes a base member, a rotatable portion, a monitor body, and a screw. The base member has a mounting end. The rotatable portion is assembled on the mounting end and defines a latching slot and a screw hole communicating with the latching hole. The monitor body has a latching protrusion engaged with the latching slot of the rotatable portion. The screw corresponds to the screw hole for locking the latching protrusion in the latching slot of the rotatable portion.
