Provided is a resin composition for an under coat of an UV coating layer and a coated steel sheet using the resin composition. The coated steel sheet comprises a material steel sheet; an under coat layer including a cured product of a resin composition for the under coat layer which contains a main resin and a metal powder, the under coat layer being formed on one side or both sides of the material steel sheet; and a top coat layer formed on the under coat layer and containing a radical compound, thereby providing a superior appearance, scratch resistance, corrosion resistance and superior weldability.

A platelet-type zirconium phosphate, which has a P&#x2014;OH group contained in a structure thereof, and has a crystalline peak at a 2&#x3b8; value of 11.6&#xb1;2 degrees and no crystalline peak at a 2&#x3b8; value of less than 11.6&#xb1;2 degrees in X-ray diffraction analysis, is provided. The platelet-type zirconium phosphate has a platelet-type structure and can be uniformly dispersed at a nanoscale level in a coating film to exhibit excellent surface gloss and barrier capability. Also, the platelet-type zirconium phosphate can exhibit excellent corrosion resistance due to the presence of the P&#x2014;OH group on a surface thereof, and can be dispersed not only in an aqueous solution but also in an organic solvent.

A method of treating a surface of a substrate using modified urushiol derived fromis provided. More particularly, the reactivity of a hydroxyl group of urushiol extracted from freshis removed before the lacquer is used as a UV coating agent for a substrate such as a steel sheet. Therefore, the substrate may have high antibacterial activity, and excellent appearance and functionalities such as far-infrared radiation, blocking of electromagnetic waves, enhanced corrosion resistance, high crosslinking speed when a low content of a photoinitiator is used, excellent surface gloss and high scratch resistance.

An ultraviolet (UV) curable resin composition is provided which includes 25 to 45 parts by weight of a modified epoxy acrylate oligomer; and 10 to 25 parts by weight of a urethane acrylate oligomer. Further provided is a metal sheet that is transparent and corrosion resistant, impact resistant, scratch resistant, adhesive, anti-corrosive, and bendable (workable) by forming a coating film on the surface of a metal material such as a steel material, specifically a steel sheet, using the UV curable resin composition mentioned above.
