A display interface device capable of reducing power consumption is disclosed. In the display interface device, a timing controller configured to compare input pixel data in horizontal line units and operate in a low power mode according to a result of comparison between an input time of horizontal lines having the same pixel data and a reference time in the horizontal line units. The timing controller operates in any one of a first low power mode for transmitting a training pattern and a second low power mode including a first duration during which data transmission and reception are stopped and a second duration during which the training pattern is transmitted, according to the result of comparison between the input time of horizontal lines having the same pixel data and the reference time.

Display interface device capable of reducing power consumption

The present disclosure relates to a touch display device capable of adaptively controlling a touch sensing period and a data writing period for each area according to whether touch has occurred. A timing controller in a touch display device time-divides each frame into a plurality of unit periods using a touch synchronization signal, time-divides each unit period into a data writing period in which one of a plurality of pixel blocks of a pixel array is scanned and a touch sensing period in which one of a plurality of touch blocks of a touch electrode array is scanned, receives touch coordinate information from an MCU, defines a panel as a touched area and an untouched area, and controls a first touch sensing period in which the touched area is scanned to increase to be longer than a second touch sensing period in which the untouched area is scanned.

An apparatus and method for driving an image display device are disclosed. The disclosed driving apparatus and method achieve synchronous driving of driving integrated circuits for driving an image display panel, through internal generation of drive control signals, thereby preventing a degradation in picture quality caused by erroneous driving timing while achieving an enhancement in product reliability. The driving apparatus includes a display panel, which includes a plurality of pixel regions, to display an image, a plurality of data integrated circuits, which share at least one of synchronizing signals internally generated therefrom, generate gate and data control signals in accordance with the shared synchronizing signal, and drive data lines of the display panel, using the internally-generated data control signals, and a gate driver for driving gate lines of the display panel in accordance with the gate control signal generated from one of the plural data integrated circuits.

Apparatus and method for driving liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel, gate and data drivers providing the liquid crystal panel with gate and data signals, and a timing controller receiving input signals that include an image signal, a sync signal, a data enable signal and a clock signal, wherein the timing controller includes a gate control signal generator controlling the gate driver, a data control signal generator controlling the data driver, a data processor supplying the image signal to the data driver, and a vertical enable signal generator generating a vertical enable signal according to the data enable signal and controlling the gate control signal generator and the data control signal generator.

Liquid crystal display device and driving method of the same

A liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The disclosed liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel having a plurality of data lines and a plurality of gate lines. The disclosed liquid crystal display device also includes a timing controller to receive a data enable signal and a data signal, and to output a gate shift clock, a gate output enable signal, and a source output enable signal, wherein at least one of the gate output enable signal and the source output enable signal is maintained at a predetermined level for at least two cycles of the gate shift clock based on a state of the data enable signal. In addition, the disclosed liquid crystal display device includes a source driver to supply the data lines with corresponding data voltage signals based on the data signal and the source output enable signal, and a gate driver to supply the gate lines with corresponding gate voltage signals based on the gate output enable signal.
