The present invention relates to a polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer using a hydroxyl terminated polysiloxane mixture, and a method for producing same, and more specifically, to: a polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer which includes hydroxy-terminated polysiloxanes of chemical formulae 1 and 2 in a specific weight ratio as repeating units, and thus exhibits excellent transmittance and low-temperature impact strength compared to the case of using either of the hydroxy-terminated polysiloxanes by itself, and in which the overall production yield of the raw material polysiloxane is improved, such that the polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer is excellent in terms of economics; and a method for producing same.

Polycarbonate block copolymers are provided, which have: (A) a polyester block of chemical formula 1; and (B) a polycarbonate block derived from a dihydric phenol of chemical formula 3 compound and phosgene. The copolymers may be prepared by (1) polymerizing ester oligomers to form a compound of chemical formula 1; and (2) copolymerizing the ester oligomer obtained in (1) with a polycarbonate oligomer prepared from a dihydric phenol compound of chemical formula 3 and phosgene, in the presence of a polymerization catalyst. The block copolymer may have a viscosity average molecular weight (Mv) of 10,000 to 200,000. The thermoplastic copolymer resins have excellent heat resistance, transparency, impact strength, and fluidity, and thus can be usefully applied in various products, including office devices, electric/electronic products, and automotive interior/exterior parts;

Disclosed is a polycarbonate resin composition including (1) a polyester compound having a structure of chemical formula 1 as defined herein or a phenyl-arylene ether sulfone compound having a structure of chemical formula 2 as defined herein; (2) a polycarbonate block copolymer; and (3) a thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate resin or a polysiloxane-polycarbonate resin; and a molded product including the same. The polycarbonate resin composition exhibits remarkably excellent heat resistance compared to existing high heat resistance polycarbonate resins, and has an excellent balance of physical properties such as fluidity.

Provided is a gene amplifying and detecting device. Disclosed are a method of growing a high-quality single layer graphene by using a Cu/Ni multi-layer metallic catalyst, and a graphene device using the same. The method controls and grows a high-quality single layer graphene by using the Cu/Ni multilayer metallic catalyst, in which a thickness of a nickel lower layer is fixed and a thickness of a copper upper layer is changed in a case where a graphene is grown by a CVD method. According to the method, it is possible to obtain a high-quality single layer graphene, and improve performance of a graphene application device by utilizing the high-quality single layer graphene and thus highly contribute to industrialization of the graphene application device.

A user authentication method and apparatus using a face image are provided. The method includes transforming a face image in a normalized spatial domain into frequency-domain data, extracting valid transform coefficients from the frequency-domain data based on energy-concentrated region information, extracting a feature vector from the extracted valid transform coefficients, and performing user authentication by comparing the extracted feature vector with a previously registered feature vector. Accordingly, it is possible to perform user authentication using a face image while using a minimum data dimension, thereby improving the speed and precision thereof.
