An apparatus for forming a glass, the apparatus including a lower mold and an upper mold is disclosed. The lower mold may be configured to support a central portion of a lower surface of the glass. The upper mold may be configured to make point contact with an edge portion of an upper surface of the glass. The upper mold may press the edge portion of the upper surface of the glass to form a rounded portion of the edge portion of the glass. An apparatus for forming a glass, the apparatus including: a lower mold configured to make point contact with an edge portion of a lower surface of the glass; and an upper mold configured to press an interior portion of the upper surface of the glass to form a rounded portion at the edge portion of the glass, is also disclosed.

A liquid crystal display that can be slimly formed. The liquid crystal display may include: a liquid crystal display panel; a backlight unit including: a light source; and a light guide plate receiving light emitted from the light source and diffusing the received light; and a frame receiving the liquid crystal display panel and the backlight unit. The frame includes: a chassis including a bottom part and a side wall, the bottom part having insertion holes; and a molding that is combined with the chassis through the insertion holes. In addition, the bottom part of the chassis is formed with protrusions adjacent to the insertion holes and the protrusions protrude in a direction opposite to a direction in which the molding is combined with the insertion holes of the chassis.

A backlight assembly is provided. The backlight assembly includes a mold frame having a tetragonal frame shape and including four side parts and a bottom part extending from bottoms of the side parts, a printed circuit board disposed on the bottom part of the mold frame, at least one light source disposed on the printed circuit board, and a light guide sheet disposed at a side of the light source and accommodated in the mold frame.
