A non-feeding element is provided with a proximity-providing gap from a feeding element, and a resonant state is generated there by capacitive coupling. The non-feeding element resonates at a frequency different from a resonant frequency of the feeding element. The feeding element and the non-feeding element have alongside-ground-terminal extending portions spaced from an edge surface at one end of a ground surface formed on the circuit board and to extend in a direction along the edge surface at the one end of the ground surface. The feeding element and/or the non-feeding element is formed three-dimensionally with a plurality of bending portions so that at least parts of the alongside-ground-terminal extending portion of the feeding element and the ground-terminal extending portion of the non-feeding element have substantially the same amount of spacing from the ground surface.

Antenna device and wireless communication apparatus including the same

In an antenna, a first type radiation electrode and a second type radiation electrode are provided on the surface of a dielectric base, which has a predetermined external shape, or embedded in the dielectric base. The first type radiation electrode is provided with an open terminal at one end thereof and a feeding terminal at the other end thereof so as to constitute a monopole type antenna. The second type radiation electrode is provided with a capacitive-coupling feeding electrode at one end thereof and a ground connection terminal at the other end thereof so as to constitute a capacitive feed antenna. The one end of the first type radiation electrode is located opposite to the feeding electrode of the second type radiation electrode when viewed in the direction of the length of the dielectric base.

Antenna and wireless communication apparatus

A non-feeding element is provided with a proximity-providing gap from a feeding element that receives RF power from a feeding point on a circuit board, and a resonant state is generated there by capacitive coupling. The non-feeding element is formed so as to resonate at a frequency different from a resonant frequency of the feeding element. The feeding element and the non-feeding element have alongside-ground-terminal extending portions formed so as to be spaced from an edge surface (a ground terminal) at one end of a ground surface formed on the circuit board and to extend in a direction along the edge surface at the one end of the ground surface. At least one of the feeding element and the non-feeding element is formed three-dimensionally with a plurality of bending portions so that at least parts of the alongside-ground-terminal extending portion of the feeding element and the ground-terminal extending portion of the non-feeding element have substantially the same amount of spacing from the ground surface, with a mutual gap in a thickness direction of the circuit board.

A radio communication apparatus includes housings that are connected via a hinge unit in an openable/closeable manner, and circuit boards in the housings. The circuit boards are connected via circuit connecting lines functioning as an inductor. One end of the hinge unit is connected to an end portion of the housing and the other end thereof is connected to a portion located farther inside than an end portion of the housing. When the housings are unfolded, a region extending from the portion to the end portion of the housing overlaps a region near the end portion of the housing in a projection domain. A high dielectric member is provided in this overlapped region, and a capacitor is constituted by the high dielectric member and ground areas.

Radio communication apparatus

An antenna structure including a dielectric base member provided in a non-ground region of a circuit board and a feed radiation electrode provided on the dielectric base member. An outer side surface of the dielectric base member along an edge of one end of the circuit board defines a side surface. A feed electrode is provided in the non-ground region of the circuit board or outside the circuit board such that the feed electrode is disposed along side surfaces of the dielectric base member. One end of the feed radiation electrode defines a feed end connected to the feed electrode, and the other end of the feed radiation electrode defines an open end. The feed radiation electrode has a configuration in which a current path extending from the feed end to the open end has a loop shape so as to be provided on at least the side surface and an upper surface of the dielectric base member. A feed radiation electrode portion formed on the side surface of the dielectric base memberforms a capacitance between the feed radiation electrode portion and the feed electrode for improving antenna characteristics.

Antenna structure and radio communication apparatus including the same

A feed radiation electrode including two branched radiation electrodes is provided on the surface of a substrate. Non-feed radiation electrodes are provided on both sides of the feed radiation electrode and near the branched radiation electrodes. The branched radiation electrode and the non-feed radiation electrode are double-resonated in the same frequency band. The branched radiation electrode and the non-feed radiation electrode are double-resonated in the same frequency band which is higher than that of the branched radiation electrode and the non-feed radiation electrode.

Antenna device and radio communication equipment including the same

In a multi-resonance antenna, at an open end of a radiation electrode of a feeding element and an open end of a radiation electrode of a parasitic element capacitance loading electrodes and ground electrodes are arranged opposite to each other. In the opposing portions, electric-field deflectors are provided, thus reducing the electric-field coupling between the feeding element and the parasitic element.

Multi-resonance antenna

A surface mount type antenna includes a loop-shaped fed radiation electrode provided on a substrate, and a non-fed radiation electrode is arranged close to the fed radiation electrode with a gap provided therebetween. One end side of the non-fed radiation electrode is grounded, and the other end side is an open end. A signal is sent to the non-fed radiation electrode from the fed radiation electrode by electromagnetic coupling to perform a resonant operation. The fed radiation electrode and the non-fed radiation electrode generate a double-resonant state. The double resonance extends the frequency band. When the fed radiation electrode and the non-fed radiation electrode are provided on the substrate to define an antenna, the size of the antenna is greatly reduced.

Surface mount type antenna and radio transmitter and receiver using the same

An antenna-electrode structure includes a feeding radiant-electrode and a grounded portion arranged such that an open-end of the feeding radiant-electrode defines a capacitance to the grounded portion therebetween, and a non-feeding radiant-electrode arranged to electromagnetically couple the feeding radiant-electrode. The non-feeding radiant electrode is arranged such that an open-end thereof defines a capacitance to the grounded portion therebetween to produce a dual-frequency resonance state together with the feeding radiant-electrode. In response to a signal supplied from a signal-supply source, the feeding radiant-electrode performs an antenna action and the non-feeding radiant-electrode in turn performs an antenna action by signal transmission from the feeding radiant-electrode, such that by being excited from these actions, the grounded portion also performs an antenna action. Because of the antenna action of the grounded portion, the sizes of the feeding radiant-electrode and the non-feeding radiant electrode are reduced.

Antenna-electrode structure and communication apparatus having the same

An antenna apparatus includes a dielectric base, and a plurality of feeding-radiating elements having different resonance frequencies, each including a feeding electrode and a radiating electrode which are disposed on surfaces of the base. A stub with a common feeding point is disposed on a mounting substrate which supports the base. The feeding electrodes of the feeding-radiating elements are connected to matching points of the stub, thereby achieving impedance matching for each of the feeding-radiating elements.
