The display device includes a liquid crystal panel, a backlight unit configured to include a light source that supplies light to the liquid crystal panel, and a polarizing part adhered to the liquid crystal panel. The polarizing part is formed to extend in an outer direction of the liquid crystal panel, and surrounds at least one of an outside of the liquid crystal panel and an outside of the backlight unit.

The backlight unit includes a plurality of light sources arranged at fixed intervals, a diffusion plate disposed on the plurality of light sources, prism patterns formed on one surface of the diffusion plate, and micro-lens patterns formed on the other surface of the diffusion plate. The vertex angle of each prism pattern is in a range of about 64&#xb0;&#x2dc;76&#xb0;.
