An optical system includes a first panel that includes a plurality of first electrodes; a second panel facing the first panel and that includes a plurality of second electrodes; and an optical conversion layer positioned between the first panel and the second panel that includes an optical conversion material. An electric field generated in the optical conversion layer by the plurality of first electrodes and the plurality of second electrodes in a multi-view mode generates a phase difference in the optical conversion layer based on a location of the optical conversion material. The plurality of second electrodes includes a plurality of sub electrodes and a common electrode, and the plurality of first electrodes and the common electrode forms a touch sensing capacitor to sense a touch in a touch mode.

Touch sensible optical system and display device including the same

A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal lens includes: patterning an insulating layer into a plurality of insulating regions spaced apart from each other on a substrate using a first photo mask; depositing a conductive layer on the insulating layer; applying a first, negative photoresist onto the conductive layer; exposing the first photoresist using a second photo mask in which first regions of the first photoresist corresponding to portions between adjacent insulating regions are opened; exposing the first photoresist using a third photo mask in which second regions corresponding to tops of the plurality of insulating regions are opened; and etching the conductive layer using the first photoresist.

Method for manufacturing liquid crystal lens

An optical system includes: a first panel including a plurality of first electrodes extending in a first direction; a second panel facing the first panel and including a plurality of second electrodes extending in a second direction crossing the first direction; an optical conversion layer between the first panel and the second panel; and a first insulating layer between the first electrodes and the second electrodes, the first insulating layer including an organic material, wherein, in a touch mode, one or more of the first electrodes and one or more of the second electrodes crossing each other form a touch sensing capacitor, and wherein, in a multi-view mode, the first electrodes and the second electrodes apply an electric field to the optical conversion layer, the electric field depending on a voltage difference between the first electrode and the second electrode, to generate different phase differences.

Touch sensing optical system and display device including the same

A liquid crystal lens device includes a first substrate including a display area, a first non-display area, and a second non-display area with the display area interposed between the first and second non-display areas. First bus lines are disposed over the first non-display area. Second bus lines are disposed over the second non-display area and are insulated from the first bus lines. First electrode groups are disposed over the display area and the first non-display area and are connected to the first bus lines. Second electrode groups are disposed over the display area and the second non-display area and are connected to the second bus lines.

Liquid crystal lens device and display device having the same

A liquid crystal display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The liquid crystal display panel includes a lens area and a peripheral area. The lens area includes a plurality of liquid crystal lenses. Each of the plurality of liquid crystal lenses includes a plurality of electrodes. The peripheral area surrounds the lens area. The peripheral area includes a first bus line layer and a second bus line layer facing each other in a first direction. The first and second bus line layers include first bus lines and second bus lines, respectively. The first and second bus lines are electrically connected to each of the plurality of electrodes through one end of each electrode.

Liquid crystal display panel and method for manufacturing the same

A display device includes a display panel for displaying an image. The display device further includes a lens configured to refract at least a portion of a collimated light having a center ray, a first outermost ray, a second outermost ray, a first plurality of rays between the first outermost ray and the center ray, and a second plurality of rays between the second outermost ray and the center ray. The lens may concentrate the first plurality of rays such that a first position on the display panel has a first light intensity. The lens may concentrate the second plurality of rays such that a second position on the display panel has a second light intensity. Each of the first light intensity and the second light intensity is substantially greater than a center light intensity on the display panel corresponding to at least the center ray.

Provided is a magnetoresistance device. The device includes a substrate, a lower layer formed on the substrate, and a magnetoresistance structure formed on the lower layer, and the lower layer is formed of amorphous ZrAl(0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1) or ZrAlO(0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, 0&#x3c;y&#x3c;1). In a tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) device, a tunneling barrier layer is formed of at least one selected from the group consisting of ZrAlO(0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, 0&#x3c;y&#x3c;1), TiAlO(0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, 0&#x3c;y&#x3c;1), and NbAlO(0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, 0&#x3c;y&#x3c;1).
