A toner for developing an electrostatic image including a binder resin, a coloring agent, and a releasing agent are provided. A particle of the toner satisfies conditions of Equation (1) (W/T&#x2264;0.1 and Equation (2) 15&#x3c;N, where Nrefers to a number of stained releasing agent domains when the particle of the toner is stained with ruthenium tetraoxide (RuO) and a cross section of the particle of the toner is observed, Wrefers to a longest length of lengths of the stained releasing agent domains, and Trefers to a longest length of the cross section of the particles of the toner.

A toner for developing an electrostatic charge image includes a core layer including a first binder resin, a colorant and a releasing agent; and a shell layer coating the core layer and including a second binder resin. The first binder resin of the core layer includes a low molecular weight amorphous polyester resin having a weight-average molecular weight of about 6000 g/mol to about 20000 g/mol, a high molecular weight amorphous polyester resin having a weight-average molecular weight of about 25000 g/mol to about 100000 g/mol, and a crystalline polyester resin having a weight-average molecular weight of about 8000 g/mol to about 30000 g/mol. The second binder resin of the shell layer includes the low and high molecular weight amorphous polyester resins.

The present disclosure provides an electrographic toner and methods for preparing an electrographic toner. In particular, the present disclosure provides an electrophotographic toner comprising a latex, a colorant and a releasing agent. The electrophotographic toner may further comprise zinc (Zn), iron (Fe), and silicon (Si). The [Zn]/[Fe] ratio may be in the range of about 5.0&#xd7;10to about 2.0. The [Si]/[Fe] ratio may be in the range of about 5.0&#xd7;10to about 5.0&#xd7;10. [Zn], [Fe] and [Si] denote the intensities of Zn, Fe and Si, respectively, as measured by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry.
